This one turned out kinda bleh, but whatever.

That's fucking amazing.
That was really good.
This is really alot of content for a one-page pdf format, I'm gonna have to use this.

Lies, tis excellent...
*PRINT*
Add to the pile labeled "distribute"
that was really good. (and i'm not even american, but i imagine that message goes straight into their little patriotic hearts)
patriotic ..
just made me wonder (sorry for OT), who was the person who ever came up with the name "Patriot Act" anyway? do they have a sort of special double-speak marketing department for that?
(remarks about the typography, if you want: the letters appear to be "dancing" (probably a bad font?) .. and you might wanna increase the linespacing, which will make the large block easier to read)
another question, correct me if i'm wrong, but the message you're bringing there, isn't that basically what "liberalism" is really about?
I'm impressed.
But not so much with the typography and layout. So I made this, click for a high resolution pdf:

cool! thx.
:D
My pleasure.
very nice indeed!
I totally dig your type stuff, Net. That looks awesome.
P.S. Trip0, a person can be hell of patriotic and still believe America is doomed. I consider myself highly patriotic, but that just makes seeing the accuracy of Vex's PDF all that much more depressing, I think.
P.P.S. YEY MORE EMOTES!
:thanks:
I wanted to make sure it gets noticed and read in the midst of all the other fliers out there.
I'm obsessed with this rant. It's going up all over town when I have a free day.
I concur. It's a great fuckin' piece of truth, and I can't get enough of that header image you made for it. It's fantastic.
You guys should form some sort of nefarious team or something, cause this is seriously delivering the goods right here.
To be fair, I didn't make the image.
It's an old woodcut that is free for anybody to use, provided you know where to find it and how to use it.
Nefarious team ... *chuckle*

ORGANIZING IS THE
PROBLEM!
Organizing is always the problem. I just throw out ideas. I'm charitable like that.
Net, I've seen some of those old woodcuts around, but I haven't found any of a high enough res to really be usable. Mostly they're already stuck into some image and too small/altered to be easily worked with, and I'm still working on getting decent photo editing stuff on my home comp (bought a Mac; love it to death, but cannot use my PC Photoshop anymore), so I need stuff that's easy to work with. Did you find a cache of those things, or do you just dig them up on a case-by-case basis?
PDF hosted for easier access (http://www.cwyohba.org/noexit/america_is_doomed.pdf)
holy shit.
vex, this is fucking awesome.

I have a number of books that are full of this stuff that I will spend hours going through for a single project.
You may be able to check out graphic books from your library that have accompanying CDs so you don't need to worry about the scanning process. One book I have is used and
had a CD, but luckily, the prints in the book have enough resolution to be scanned and enlarged. If you scan high quality prints at 1600 dpi you can usually get away with 100% enlargements (line art should be 600 ppi minimally).
Even if you get your hands on the goods, you'd need some professional page layout software to really play with it. You might look into Scribus (http://www.scribus.net/) in lieu of shelling out the cash for Quark or InDesign.
Net,
has a lot of toys.
Based on a purely once-over quick look at Scribus, all I have to say is
OH
MY
GOD
Thank you. I don't have the money to be picking up programs like that, and although Trip0 kindly hooked me up with InDesign a while back, that can't be shipped over to my Mac.
You have made me incredibly excited. :D

Scribus comes pre-installed with some distros of Linux
