I move expeditiously forward,
belligerent toward sustained contention.
Self-sustained predisposition;
a quandary perhaps.
Shall I question retrogression?
No time for that!
The Beast cometh.
This is it.
My blood coagulates.
Olfactory emotions react
to the putrid smell of regret.
Must I must?
Struggle or capitulate?
Abscond! Absquatulate!
Ah! Sweet wisteria.
A confidant emerges.
As I sway, I spot the fray;
The Beast eyes me ostensibly.
I must not relent,
but then...
Swift descent.
Disquieting pleasure.
A skid, a slump,
and the final bump,
Respiration ceases.
But what is this?
A sweet aroma?
A magnificent orchestration of the senses.
The orchid glimmers.
I like it.
Quixotic, dramatic, invigorating.

davedim, cram, and payne: you r all criticizing the verbiage yes?
i realized it was verbose and perhaps a bit gaudy, but it felt like i evoked the correct imagery for the concept
it's basically a personal interpretation of an old zen koan
it's depth and clearness reminds me of a Frysian lake.

I think it's sweet of you to write a poem about you and Roger.
It was pretty verbose for a poem about the poo chute.

Yes, it IS a bit much, but I honestly liked it. You rhymed it well.
But you still can't have any of my Internets. Don't even bother asking.
