Title: IO's Photos
Post by: Iason Ouabache on October 07, 2008, 07:40:47 AM
I got my wife a digital camera (Kodak C340) for Christmas about 3 years ago and we've taken a couple thousand photos with it since then (most of them feature our lovely daughter).  However I thought that I'd share some of the cooler landscape/nature ones that we've taken.  I say "we" because I can't exactly remember which ones I took and which one she took.

Half of the pics were taken near my in-laws' farm house.  It feels like its in the middle of nowhere even though they are about a mile away from a highway. I'd love to move back to that area, but absolutely zero jobs.

It gets really here pretty in autumn.  The trees all turn awesome shades of red, orange, and yellow.  I'm sure that my wife will take a couple dozen since she is going to the Covered Bridge Festival next week. I'll try to post the highlights.

Thanks.  I'm much better at identifying birds than insects.  I'll have to see if my wife took any good pics of the half dozen or so Ruby-throated Hummingbirds that hang around my mother-in-law's feeders.

I really like these photos.  :)  I'd like to see more.

They do make 1 want to frolic?  The colors this time of year are spectacular, aren't they?  Right now I still take photos with an older 35mm, the only digital camera I have is on my phone & it limits the kinds of pix I like to take.  I get used to the feel of certain technology (camera) & resist adapting, even to a new 35mm, & my last camera I used for 10 years until I could no longer get parts or lenses.  I guess I'll have to break down & get a digital tho.  Do you have any suggestions?  Thanks & respect.

Since I'm on vacation this week, the family took a trek downtown tonight in the rain to see all the Christmas decorations around Monument Circle.  Here's a few pics. They are a bit blurry because of the rain. :(

I'm pretty sure that is one of the Southern Stingrays. When we first walked into that tunnel area one of them was sitting directly above us. My daughter freaked out screaming "I want it back in the water! I want it back in the water!" I had to try to calm her down while my wife was laughing hysterically in the corner.

The pics were taking in Newport, KY which is right across the Ohio River from Cincinnati.  The jellyfish room was awesome. The two middle pics were from the smaller tanks where you could manually change the color of the light going through them. I didn't realize it until now but you can actually see my wife in the first pic.
