What can I do with about a dozen or so peaches about to go bad and a hot pot?
I also have sweet potatoes, potatoes, turnips, eggplant (which I also need to use), green beans, a shitload of jalapeño peppers, carrots, squash, rice, etc.
I'm thinking peach soup. We have tomato soup. Why not peach soup?
Suggestions that do not involve rape?

You could make the peach component and the crust component separately and in bulk, store them, and have materials to make cobbler on a whim for a while.
Peach pie.
Take pie crust, slice most of the peaches, layer them in the crust. Sprinkle a brown sugar/butter mixture over the top. Bake.
I think I'm going to have to resort to the cobbler idear myself--we have a ton of white peaches no one ate over the weekend that will not last til this weekend.
Make peach C-rapes.

Skin and slice the peaches, throw them in the crock with a pork roast or chicken and 1-2 cups of stock and some of the the jalapenos
(Also onion or herb stuffing if you wish, add balsamic vinegar if it's pork)
Roast until it's done.

oh that reminds me, my gf made this as dessert for me once: peaches (from the can) with vanilla ice cream and a warm sauce of reduced (fresh) orange juice, sugar (caramelized) and cinnamon.
it's the kind of dessert that stuffs you :)

I've been dealing with a mold problem for roughly 2 weeks... it finally seems to be subsiding, but nonetheless, it's all good. I have a pit to fill in in the backyard.
One of my old apartments got infested with black mold. Nasty stuff. Condemned. Government housing sucks.
