Tonight Rush became the metaphor for all of us... every man woman and child in this great nation of ours.
The enemy of this great nation, the enemy of you and me, Rush's enemy... those on the left, inside and outside of this nation abhor success... and when faced with it will destroy it... by any and all means possible.
We all have our dreams in life... such as they might be. Rush dreamed of being an owner in the NFL.

Will your light of your dreams be next?
Will my dreams be next?
First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist the europeans can keep their welfare states;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist unions are the death of this great nation;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew they should have all died in the holocaust along with the gypsies and smudgy people anyway;
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak out for me they gave me a big screen teevee and all the sports channels I could ever want!
Fixed for the current context.
Umm, yeah, it wasn't the left, it was all of the OTHER Conservative NFL owners (read, most of them) who didn't want their bottom lines affected by his fat, racist bottom line. It's called the Free Market. Now suck it!

This +1 million.
When O'Reilly led a massive boycott of Pepsi, that was okay, but whenever the market works against them, the fringe right cries victim with the skill of an Ivy league educated minority transgendered welfare queen.
I also like how they are upset that this somehow violates Rush's free speech rights, yet they instaban any commenter capable of pointing out flaws in their arguments.

Right, free speech for Limbaugh's opponents comes in "free speech zones" and is very narrowly defined.
Free speech for Limbaugh and co. means they say and do whatever they want, and everyone will listen and like it.
Sooo...Limbaugh compares football to crips and bloods fighting, and tells a caller to take the bone out of his nose, and then gets smacked for being a racist and shut down by his own side of the fence and it is a Liberal Conspiracy? I like to play the Devils Advocate, and I honestly cannot find a way to back this play.

You forgot the part where he got a job commentating on football, and said Philadelphia quarterback Donovan McNabb (who is regularly near the top of statistical categories but has yet to win a Super Bowl) is overrated because
Quote
"I think what we've had here is a little social concern in the NFL. The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well,'' Limbaugh said. "There is a little hope invested in McNabb, and he got a lot of credit for the performance of this team that he didn't deserve. The defense carried this team."
Over in realityville, the Philly media booed McNabb on draft day and continue to call for his head immediately whenever things go slightly wrong. He's the last person in the world who you could say gets a free pass from the media due to race.
Except for the how many million dollars he gets a year...(?)
At least he has health care.

Which is the same for a lot of footballers regardless of race.
