:lulz: Glass dildoes are lovely, I have a very pretty one my friend Brent made for me. I bought some dildo and butt plug stock a couple of years ago, but on my first attempt I soon discovered that I will need to get liquid oxy for my torch to have enough firepower to melt boro stock that large fast enough for my arms to not fall off from holding it up. Since I don't really want to switch to liquid and my studio doesn't have enough room for a carboy anyway, that idea has been shelved indefinitely! Thanks for thinking of me though. :)
I know the Toys in Babeland in Seattle used to be willing to buy glass dildos from local glassblowers. Don't know if they still do or if any of the sex shops in PDX are similar.

There's good money in them, a nice one can go for $150. You need a big, hot torch for it to be worth your while though, because ideally you want to make between $1.50 and $2/minute of torch time. It has to be enough to cover your overhead, admin and marketing time.

It seems to me that there's enough glass sex toys out there that are made in quantity (like the Phallix brand stuff, etc.) that it would be better to make a further specialty niche market.
i might suggest somehow wrapping it in wiccan new-age secks mahgique marketing and sell it for significantly more...

If they're properly made and annealed, it's a non-issue unless you drop it on a concrete floor. They're essentially made of Pyrex and at that thickness, the shit is virtually indestructible.
However, breakage is an issue with cheap imports, which sadly do exist. I would never buy a dildo that wasn't made by an experienced artisan so I could be assured it was properly annealed and made with premium US borosilicate glass.
