Error There Has Been!
Rig it with a nerf/paintball gun for extra points!
if not a whole gun, just a barrel and a laser pointer.
make it look high tech and you'll scare a shitload of people.

Stage 1 complete.
She's now called ISS Skullychopper.
Awaiting daylight for a test flight to check the load balance.
And because I'm still waiting for the usb video in to come from hong kong, I can't check to see if its working. bah.
hopefully the postie will drop it off tomorrow ...
FUCKING WIN
Just get a battery. As in, a car battery, or two six volt lantern batteries, or a compact rechargeable 12 volt from a hobby store. If all else fails, use eight AA, C, or D batteries in series. The connector is probably an off-the-shelf part.
Just make sure to make sure the polarity's correct when you're making your battery pack. There should be a diagram similar to + --(O-- - on the device or DC adapter (assuming it's the cylindrical kind). That diagram would have the "tip" negative and the "outside" positive.
If you're using the set in the first picture, it looks like the tip's positive, but I can't quite tell.
YOU CAN DO IT BAI
CAUSE THE ANSWER TO IS THIS AWESOME YES/NO
IS NEVER AWESOME EN OUGH
might be easier to use a gas-powered RC airplane if you want a flying camera. you'll lose the ability to hover in place, but the extra thrust and lift oughtta be able to handle the weight of the camera without fucking up the avionics too much.
I suppose one of us needs to now figure out how to make a cheap AGM-114 Hellfire missile now, to complete this.
the only tricky part about that would be figuring out how to rig a remote-triggered firing mechanism. The missile itself would be easy, assuming you have access to either a fireworks store or a hobby store that sells model rocket engines.
A processor from a decent phone or game console could easily be used as part of the guidance system, as Hezbollah discovered.
This fread is :mittens:
BAI, you mad bastard, love it.
Hey, saw this online, and thought of your crazy project:
http://ardrone.parrot.com/parrot-ar-drone/en
thought it might be good for some inspiration.
Plus, augmented reality games FTW!
There is a type of hovering toy aircraft on the market that resembles a UFO. It works kind of like a hovercraft. If it can handle the load of a camera, it may be worth using.
I think I still have a shitload of old RC aircraft from back when the RC toy store across the street fleed the united states for tax evasion. I'll see what I can do with the cameras I have.

apparently, fly by video is getting to be a popular hobby known as First Person View RC.
