Beyond a "Guess how long I've been logged in?" or "OFUCK I post how much?", there is the reflection of how much of my time, energy and thought has gone into this joint too.
You all are informative, interesting, annoying, and downright infurriating. I'm involved too deep to get out alive, and the history books will call me a monster. I will cackle all the way to the auto d'fe. Overall a fine heat sink for my sanity, and source of sure fire amusement.
So thanks for being the maid I metaphorically flaggelate. I am used, and reused, and abused, and amused, and plan to continue.
Fuckers.

Sweet. What's for dinner?

Ah yes, Philosophy of the Bedroom...We read that one in Classical to Contemporary Drama in college.
Sounds painful whatever the verb in the original French was. Good advice.
I am so glad that the New Englanders got that one. It appears that I am in good company.
PD.COM needs moar Marquis de Sade.
Agreed.
Everyone who hasn't should watch "Quills" as primer material.

Muhaha.
Me, I'm sticking to Captain Ahabism.

The puppet version is also highly recommended.
And, of course, Passolini. But that's for Advanced Users.

I was so young and innocent when I watched that movie.
I had absolutely zero idea what I was getting into.
Incidentally: in the relative scale of DeSade, "Quills" would be Rated: G.

The only part that really bothered me, to be honest, was the tongue cutting out at the end. That was terrifying to me.
I mean, the rest certainly got a reaction. But none of it stuck with me like that did.
from the Invisibles,
when they take the Marquis de Sade to the present, and bring him to a fetish club.

When you can watch that on loop and masturbate until orgasm, I wouldn't suggest moving on to the Passolini.

Actually, I've read DeSade, and it was a letdown. Pretty tame stuff.
I'm just curious what of his you've read.
There was a particular game night, when I was trying to cut down on drinking (had been getting pretty drunk during the D&D sessions), so I only came with a couple pints of Becks with the intention of nursing them throughout the evening.
I show up, and my friend Will is doing a reading of 120 days of Sodom alternating between english cockney accent and standard english accent.
At first I start laughing, then as this goes on, I get a little uncomfortable.
... and those two pints were empty in twenty minutes.
When we started with the Australian accent, that was the game changer.
I'll never be the same.
