QuoteMADISON, Wis. — A man serving life in prison for first-degree intentional homicide lost his legal battle today to play Dungeons & Dragons behind bars.
Kevin T. Singer filed a federal lawsuit against officials at Wisconsin's Waupun prison, arguing that a policy banning all Dungeons & Dragons material violated his free speech and due process rights.
Prison officials instigated the Dungeons & Dragons ban among concerns that playing the game promoted gang-related activity and was a threat to security. Singer challenged the ban but the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday upheld it as a reasonable policy.
If only he'd murdered a few more people, he could've taken the Assassin prestige class and been able to cast Invisibility on himself, making prison much less of a hassle.

You know what's sad? That sounds about right. They don't like ANYthing in prison that promotes competition or contention. So of course they'd call that "gang-related activity" to stir the pot and make themselves look responsible, just makes them look ridiculous, however.

It gets better. Seems like another inmate tattled to the guards on him, worried that they were starting a D+D centered gang, specifically. Get the snitch out of general population now, before he gets his ass crammed full of d4 in the shower.

Of course, obviously everyone in that place is there because they failed a spot check.
They may possibly have been brain grabbed, though. Some anyway.
