I'm trying to set up a website, and I have NO FUCKING CLUE what I'm doing. Plz haylp?
Right now, I'm trying to install geeklog onto the website (I think), only I can't figure out/can't find the information of database type, hostname, name, username and password (maybe), and table prefix. Pretty much everything.
:x How do I find this information?

My immediate response would be to use an easier to use blogging system. I just installed a blog on a friend's website and didn't need any of that stuff (on the other hand installing the blog was integrated into the host)
What webhost are you using? most use an SQL database, although not all of them. username and password are (usually) local variables and you are defining them rather than finding them out, so pick whatever you want. name is probably the name of your blog, so again, you pick what you want, hostname and table prefix I am not so sure about so hopefully someone more knowledgable can help with that.
I'm using Lime Domains. The help pages don't really help too much, although I did find the hostname.
It looks like Lime Domains can autoinstall wordpress for you. That might be a better way to go since you wont have to fiddle around with the complicated stuff.

I deleted the thing. I was trying to install a forum thingy on it, but I couldn't figure it out. I appreciate your help, though.
