I am not going anywhere NEAR work today. If they think they're going to open, and call me in, I will flat out go, "Uh, would YOU go out to eat with 8" of snow falling? FUCK NO. *hic*"

It's on it's way. South County is getting hammered and we've started to see steady snowfall here in Pawtucket, and I live right on the border. You got another hour.

It's not like I live within walking distance anymore. If I go down there, I'll be trapped down there. That was fucking hysterical last year though.

Also, the packy was out of small bottles of Jim Beam. Figures. So I got some rum instead. I still have Sambuca here.

Yea I'd been wondering the same since my boss had me cancel all his appointments "due to the weather" and half an hour later I looked out and said "weather" had stopped. But it's snowing again, so yay?

Luckily only a 5 min drive home for me if it does get bad. We'll see if the whole "shutting the office down early" thing comes to fruition or not

Oh ho!

They changed the prediction!

QuoteSnow will fall at varying intensities. Some of the snow will fall heavily especially around 6pm. Cloudy and windy. Temperatures steady near 32F. Winds NNE at 20 to 25 mph. Snowfall of 3 to 5 inches through 8pm.

It was originally heavily around 2pm and 2-4 inches through 6pm. The storm isn't move that fast and it's sorta chillin' over Block Island or something.

Styrofoam soaked in WD-40.

Hey Aput, right here buddy.

:fuckmittens:

Drove home at 11 after work last night, snow was too deep and got stuck in my landlord's driveway trying to park where he has set aside for me for storms.  Couldn't get in, nearest parking spot was four blocks away because of the parking ban, and it took 45 minutes to find it and parallel park into a narrow space with a manual, no power steering, and in the snow.

Although, I think he's allowed to dabble up north a bit, for the most part, us Southlanders get to flip him off at will.

The earthquake and fire gods, on the other hand, we give sacrifices to religiously.
