This is my newest housemate:
He pops up in random places in the house, and as long as he's not annoying, I will keep him. It is, after all, freezing outside, and those are no proper temperatures for a pretty spider like this. Also Dutch spiders are harmless like puppies. I realize I didn't include anything for scale. He is probably slightly over an inch in diameter including legs. So, not very big, but also not tiny.
NOW HE NEEDS A NAME
suggestions please?
Peter?
He's cute.
Naming him Peter could become confusing. I suggest "Dave".
Neal.
Dead. Name it dead.
-Suu
The obvious expected answer.
Frank or Butch Jones.
Butch Slaughter
Jerusalem.

I second this. Though, I believe it's spelled Thrakorzog. I'll look it up...
Edit: Thrakkorzog is the correct spelling according to the Gelatin Dimension Baby Naming Book.
I always name spiders "George" (ala, bugs bunny "Which way did he go, George, which way did he go?") :P

Lolth
Yes.
that spider is going to bite your ass in your sleep. KILL IT WHILE YOU CAN
I agree with FP and Cram. Jerusalem or Lolth.
maybe I could caption it with olde englysh wurds, and it would be a LOLTH SPIDER
you should make Jerusalem tiny spider glasses.
you should really step on it
make an aquarium for it, and catch it so you don't step on it on accident.
Peter was my first guess to. I had a spider called Peter. How about "OMGITSBEHINDYOU!". This way when someone asks you what are you doing you can tell them "Just feeding OMGITSBEHINDYOU!"
i like Lolth
Name the spider Mike Tyson!
Give him an incredibly long name with like twenty some odd syllables. Then print out little cards with a pronunciation of the name, so whenever someone asks what his name is or when you introduce him to your dinner party guests (of course you will introduce him, right? it's rather rude not to, considering he's probably the one who cooked dinner and chose the wine.) you will give them this little card and say, "This is who cooked your dinner, he also does catering."
Sheilob.

Hah!
Spiders have 8 eyes so try to imagine 8 lensed glasses with eight opposite colors and eight different shapes.
Since we're talking about insects:

Aw, that's grotesquely adorable!
"Bitch, get in mah belleh! :argh!: "
I always assume spiders are female since the females are way bigger than the males.
I always assume spiders are servants of the dark one, assassins sent to kill me.
I always assume that spiders are eight legged hookers who will eat their customers heads when they get pregnant. Sort of like saying "GOD DAMN! YOU GOT ME PREGNANT! HOW AM I GONNA GET RID OF IT?!" and in their horrible mood swings they eat the head, and then be like, "I'm sorry, let's raise the kids together." and when they realize they ate the head they get angry again... :x

Yeah, spiders are arachnids. :argh!:
Insects have six legs while arachnids have four pairs.
Now you know, don't do it agin!
Now you just gotta hope to fuck it doesn't get pregnant and lay thousands of babies =D

For some reason I really like spiders but other arachnids terrify me. I don't really want a spider crawling on me, but I don't mind living with them, meanwhile ticks will keep me out of a field and a scorpion can prompt a full on shit losing.

i favour "OhmygoditscreepyfuckinggetitawayfrommeohFUUUUUUUCKus!" which I think is the correct Latin term Doktor.
Or "crunch".
Dok,
Wears stompin' boots specifically to deal with scorpions. And jackasses.
Some arachnids are delicious with butter.
Tchaikovsky.

I dunno, I haven't seen it in a couple of days, I guess it's wandering around the house and eating tiny bits of dust or something?
it's eating little bugs and your sweets in the cupboard.
Good. It doesn't look like one that builds webs though, so I guess it's not going to catch much mosquitos for me ... But they won't be here until the summer anyway.
i have decided that instead of removing it from your sig i will stare at it until i get creeped out and then continue scrolling
ok hey and where does the belgian bee talking tits in your sig come from btw?

cause i saw this little comic thingy and there was a king making a speech and all he said was TETTEN over and over again and then all the people followed him and i wondered what it meant :D

That family contains the hobo spider, so I would be careful if I were you, 000.

His name was Buttons.

It actually comes from their tendency to play haunting arias on the harmonica whilst illegally securing passage on trains.
