For some reason, there seems to be an abundance of apples in stores recently, and so I've taken to buying one of each variety whenever I encounter one that I have not tried yet. I have been eating exclusively Granny Smiths for years now, and decided I should give a few of the other bazillion varieties a chance.
So far, Fuji and Cameo are my new favorites with Fuji at #1 good ol' Granny Smith still holding a solid 2nd place, and Cameo coming in third since I bought a batch of them that were unimpressive (and on sale).
So in conclusion... I like apples, do you like apples?
Apples are great. Don't you think so?

DOOO EEET.
YOU WILL LOVE MY PIE!
If I get the time, I'll give it a shot. I'm pretty busy. When I'm not eating drive-thru fast food, most of my recipes go something like:
1.) Put everything in (pot, pan, skillet, oven, etc...)
2.) Come back later
3.) Put food in mouth
OR
1.) Put food in mouth (e.g. "eat an apple")
Fujis are delicious but my favorite ones this year were the little hard apples I bought from an old lady whose face looked like an apple.
You mean like a shrunken apple head doll?

It is a pretty time consuming thing, homemade pie making. But it's sooooo worth it, as long as you pay attention to what you're doing.
Gravenstein, Pink Lady, Nautilus. In that order.
ECH,
apple snob
Toffee Apple
Cox's Orange Pippin, not the prettiest but . . .
Arkansas Blacks, when I can get them. Otherwise the Gravenstein, Pippin and Lady Pinks are good.
I am partial to Honeycrisps.
