wouldn't buying bulk ink and recycling the cartridges yourself save much more money and produce less trash?

Toner cartridge: $80 for 5000 pages. $0.016/page. (black)

Unless you have to print labels that will be immersed in alcohol. In which case toner will flake off over time.

Best be going with inkjet.

Yeah, inkjet printers are slow and a bitch to maintain, but they can print on almost any material. Laser is only really suitable for office stuff.

True, and inkjet can be used for other fun things, like printing food and some rapid prototyping devices.
But for the vast majority of my printing Laser is fine.

Laser can be used for water-slide photo transfer, though. Which means photographs embedded in glass. :fap:
