What just happened to the "Teabagger tool attacks kid" thread?

I moved it to the scrap bin, as it has PI in it. Faust wasn't happy, and I can't blame him, come to think of it.
The one good thing that came out of it is that I am now convinced to never, ever take Iptuous seriously, ever again, for any reason. In fact, fuck that, I'm not going to bother with his punk ass at all.
Not that it was much of a thread, but couldn't the PI just be edited out?

Um, that was the whole thread. :lulz:
Well, except for Ippy picking a fight to defend his teabagger buddies.
I can restart another one with the pic & caption, if you like.
I slipped the thank you note from the Democratic Party in the mail this morning, too. Ah well, it's harmless.

No harm done, I think.
Oh, hilariously I totally missed the point of the thread. :lulz: I thought it was about the pic & caption.

I'm not losing sleep over it. I just hope the poor old bastard doesn't get a heart attack when he sees a thank you note saying his funding will help with immigration reform and energy independence.

I don't know why you get so mad at me when i disagree with you, Dok. It actually upsets me to some degree, because i really do like you... i admire your passion, i enjoy your humor, and i like your writing.
but a handful of times now, i've taken the wrong side in a discussion, and ended up covered in shit, and had to tread lightly for a time and avoid you so as not to have you call me a 'shitneck' in a completely unrelated thread, or ascribe some unbecoming quality to me....
I guess i can just avoid you indefinitely, despite the loss that represents for me... oh well.
We all know you have an incredible beard only to make up for your shitty, shitty neck, Iptuous.
It's no secret.
if I understand it properly, it's that Roger thinks that you were intentionally trying to pick a fight and get a rise out of him
I didn't read it that way. IIRC, ippy and I were in agreement that you couldn't tell what actually happened in the "fight" from the photo /caption alone
but the thread in question is gone, so c'est la vie

Sorry, Iptuous. After the "privilege" thing, my guard is up, ya know?
So, are we to go on with guards up against each other when there is no ill will between us?
Or can we breath easy again?
By which, i mean to say that when i disagree with you, can i rest assured that you will simply call me an idiot (which i won't contest) rather than proclaim that i have it out for you? (which i certainly don't, and wouldn't know how to effectively troll you even if i did...)
Further, i would like to again apologize for my response to Unvarnished Truth #1, as it caused a pause in the release cycle of an anticipated piece...

Tomorrow. I have something else to write today.
I watched Deadwood last night, and it dealt so beautifully with bureaucracy. By shooting it in the face. Sometimes I wish it was still that simple.
I mean, aside from the rampant rape, murder, slavery and genocide that was also going on at the time.

Bureaucrats get a bad rap. They may be inefficient, but they are the last impersonal form of government left.
And, let's face it...do you REALLY want personal attention from your government?

I get that occasionally, unfortunately. And no, I don't want it. THANKS PORTLAND.

Also the least efficient form. This is also a good thing.

I fuckin' miss that fuckin' show. (Yes, I was a fan of the "fuck" counter...sorry) But man, WHY'd they have to go and CANCEL THAT ONE?

they didn't cancel it, it was too expensive to make.

Pish posh. That's what they said about ROME! *still waiting for follow-up to that clusterfuck* LOVED Rome. Why I stick with HBO is beyond me.
I would love a Deadwood movie, though.
I stuck with HBO because of Treme. And, well... True Blood. Cuz it's got boobs, gayness, and the occasional blood orgy.
I don't have cable, so I watch everything on Netflix. At my FBF's house. I originally thought my 52" TV would be great for movies, but I think I've only ever watched one movie on it.
