I just spent 6 days on a jury.  Feeling for ya.

What am I doing on 5/5?  Working, going to the Gym, and then I'm thinking wild perverted sex with someone that hates me.

5/5 was yesterday, unless Tuscon is on the other side of the International Date Line.


I drank tequila and had a condo association meeting.

I had tacos, in memory of the victory at the battle of Puebla.

I would have also had mezcal, but am too broke.  Next year perhaps. (Or maybe pulque next year if I am lucky, I'll be living much closer to the border at that point.)

Heh, I had jury duty a few weeks ago as well.

5/5 Is Children's Day (Boy's Day) in Japan (and after having grown up in hawaii with half-japanese cousins I forgot about it for a few years).

So I taught my girl's son how to fold some origami carps and flowers, we looked at pictures of historical samurai dolls (traditional boy's day gifts to mirror the dolls given on girl's day, Meji-era Action Figures), and then went and ate mochi (sweet sticky rice cake).

I made stuffed chilis in tequila sauce, cerviche and fried ice cream for dessert.

We're going to the Cinco de Mayo festival this Saturday.  I want some pork carnitas!!!  MMMMM

I smoked a lot with my friend, and his dealer, and then went home to consume almost an entire container of chocolate, followed by a bowl of home made popcorn.  After driving around aimlessly for about an hour with said friend.
