Title: My back yard
Post by: Adios on June 06, 2010, 08:55:31 PM
We are not done yet as I am going to add pavers under the pergola and the grill and the swing.

I've always wanted my own backyard to customize and perfect.

In fact I'd prefer a big backyard to a big house.  Wouldn't mind a three room house and a huge yard to play with.

It'd have a hot tub with a demand heater, and a throne of skulls.  And several of those nifty curtained pavilions.

Come to think of it, the only thing I really need an indoors for is an office/library.  I wouldn't mind everything else being semi outdoors.

Backyards fucking rule.

Inside the pergola there are chairs and a cauldron type firepit. We are also going to get a nice fountain to put just outside of it.

It's great for spring and fall but in the summer around here it can stay in the 90's all night. I don't like the heat.

Yeah, if you got some kind of mist machine, that would be perfect.

I think I could rock it.

So, you're going to put a bunch of concrete in your backyard?

Decorative paving stones, yes. Spring and fall can get wet here.

I think I'd want maybe two of those, one for a bedroom and one for an office.

Don't stones/concrete retain and radiate heat though?

I imagine there are probably benefits too, but if it's already hot in the summers it seems like this could make it even hotter.

You are right, but in triple digits who is going to be out there anyway?

Fair enough. It could make chilly evenings more comfortable as well.
