:lulz:

Man, Republicans are into the whole RINO/FCINO/insert here INO thing aren't they? How is one determined to be a really real Republican? cuz, I seem to recall from the presidential primaries that McCain, Huckabee, and Romney were all called RINOs at some point or another.

Brilliant. Should receive a prize of some sort. Maybe a Nobel. Or an Emmy. But first I have to take a shower...

Hey, WT.  I think she's going to win "California".  Which should be good for humor value, anyway.

Also, you might consider pimping your book out in "Bring and Brag".

I'm not sure I would consider California a prize.

Yeah, about that.

Nixon and Reagan both had that job.

Just saying.

Reagan and Nixon didn't have to declare bankruptcy.

Neither will the next governor.  They'll already be there.  It's win-win.  Either things get better, and they take the credit, or they don't, and they blame the dems.

It all leads to increasingly more fucked in the head crazy assholes in charge.

And that is exactly what we demand.

Wow. I'm amazed how much the US uses political attack ads, they're generally considered bad form in Canada.

They are here too. But Americans are a negative bunch. You basically win elections by convincing everyone that your opponent is a bigger asshole than you. You're not going to win by talking about issues. Americans don't like hearing about issues or solutions. We want to see a gladiator fight.

People pretend like they are wrong and bad form here, but it's pretty much become tradition now.  I don't see it ever changing.

Just as it's tradition to accuse your opponent of relying too much on negative attack ads.
I remember the debates for the 2002 MA Gubernatorial election. It was funny and frustrating all at the same time. Mitt Romney, Shannon O'Brien, Jill Stein, Carla Howell and Barbara Johnson. The third party candidates actually talked about crap and what they would do about it, getting the occasional jab in that the only thing Democrats and Republicans are good at is bickering. Meanwhile Mitt and Shannon spent their time bickering about each other's negative ad campaigns.

If I'm honest, I would settle for a literal gladiator fight, no proxies, and no quarter, to decide gubernatorials.

I wanna vote for the demon sheep guy now.  California already had the terminator for governor, why not a demon sheep?

Wait. Is he a pig or a sheep? Or some kind of crazed robotic pig in sheep clothing? I'm so confused.

As far as I can tell from the ad he's actually a demon wolf, in sheep's clothing.  The pigs are his friends, that he gives pork to.
