A major storm came through, they say the sirens were going off but we couldn't hear them. 70 MPH sustained winds and we lost power for the entire night.

This time of year it can happen anytime. They make a thing to tie horses out that is over a foot long and screws in the ground. Guess I need 4 of them for the pergola. I didn't get hardly any sleep at all last night.
At one point I woke up Mrs. Hawk and we took cover in an inner space, it was that bad.
Shit tore up your yard.
That ain't cool at all. :(
Yeah, pissed me off. Looks like round 2 may be coming.
50 feet of rope, 2 auger type anchors, 1 pain pill and 1 hour later.

I think your tent needs to be made out of whatever that fully intact and upright grill is made out of.
We had 70 MPH gusts and 60 MPH sustained winds last night. The updraft is what's killing me.
you are trying to keep a tent in your backyard during tornado season? :lulz: :lulz: :lulz: good one
Suggestion-
Keep your canopy safely stowed in a garage or shed until you intend to use it?
Sounds like a pain in the ass but I would think it beats having to re-build the thing after every storm.
:? perhaps

It took over 2 hours to assemble the thing.
BUT!
I have a plan!
Oh. Well, carry on then
Maybe I won't bitch about the pergola right now. Neighbors are out looking for their stuff that blew away. A trash can hit a car and damaged the rear bumper.
And My house.

Plan is on hold until I get my house fixed.
