Not true. The Czar Bomba (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsar_Bomba), which was built and tested by the Russians, had a yield over 2500 times that of the Little Boy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Boy). Granted, this design WAS a 50% reduction from the 100 megaton design that was originally planned, but that was to reduce fallout from the test and to give the pilot flying the bomber time to fly far enough away from the epicenter of the blast to avoid being killed (as it was, it still knocked the plane off course despite it having retreated 45 km by the time the bomb went off), not to prevent the Earth from being knocked out of orbit. Also, even the 50 Megaton design was too large to be carried by bombers that hadn't been specially modified.
