And we try to think of ways to scam the scammer.
Did she get in the money orders, or just the email?
And what kind of scam? Nigerian? Or like when you try to sell the wedding dress and you get 12 emails from some girl in the midwest who wants the dress and will pay twice as much as your asking price with Moneygrams?

Actual physical fake money order. Actually it's an "HSBC Bank London" check, filled out by hand, that is an obvious forgery. One of those "I send you a check for too much money, you send me the difference, then my check bounces and you're screwed" scams.
Turn them in.
Fucking with a bank is a federal offense.
OR
Does it have a MICR line? What's the router and acc#?
Yeah, string them on, and hunt around for an offer for cash in return for "info leading to the arrest of <crime>".
Owned. Happy endings for everybody (except them).
Blackmail.
You have their address now, right?
Blackmail them into sending you real money by threatening to turn them into the authorities. Even if you get nothing out of it, the idea of them shitting themselves should be hysterical.
Ha! But play dumb while you do it.
"Hey, this isn't a scam, is it? Because if it was, I'd make x dollars by turning you in, huh?"

You're supposed to get them to take ridiculous photos of themselves as a trophy...

This. Cause they're probably not who they say they are, but in fact criminals that you probably don't really want to mess with.

It has that info. But I'm assuming it's fake. If it was real, it would amount to a real check, no?
I'm just wondering what info it has on it and where/who it can be traced back to.
I'm sure it's fake, but from certain info on it there are ways to find of it's linked to someone's account.
If it is it can be looked up, tracked and prosecuted.
