And this recipe calls for it.
If I skip it would it make that much of a difference?
The recipe is for porcupines (ground beef mixed with rice, baked with tomato sauce dish).
No.

I really had never heard of these before.

at first I thought you were talking about actually cooking porcupines
Poor Hamos, porcupines with no celery salt!
LMNO you should be ashamed!
Oh noes!!!
You didn't tell me the Celery Salt is what kept the porcupines sedated.
Now instead of a nice home cooked meal-I have spent my night in the ER-recovering from these pricks.
OHHH YUO GUYS!!!!!!!!

That's not a nice thing to say about the people at PD.com...
I've never heard that referred to porcupines before...It sounds like my stuffed peppers stuffing just...minus the peppers. Oh, and no celery salt.

Yeah I had not either and yeah it was kind of like stuffed peppers.
My stuffed peppers though I make really differently- I combine all my stuff when sauteing and I also use Italian parsley for flavor, without the parsley I wouldn't think of making stuffed peppers. It is yum!
I'll post the recipe when I have more time later.
