Exactly how long did you intend to keep this from me?

You give that back. It's not for you. :argh!:
This is not for the English.
Well, the IRA knew about it some time ago. What are you insinuating?
its too late for you now, I found a cafe/bar that sells it in my town, along with a preposterous number of other obscure and exciting beers.
Nothing can stop my drunken chocolaty conquest.
Except alcohol poisoning.
And a sharp blow to the head.
That interrupted a bottle of Lagavulin couple years ago, and as I slowly piece together the little I've recalled in the time since... it may have been directly correlated.

haven't I mentioned this before in my beer review thread?
It's a seasonal...the fact that you just now got it says a lot because that's their winter release.
LOL WE SEND ENGLAND OUR OLD BEER.
I am 15 years old and what is beer? :P
It goes down smooth while watching the game... tastes great with steak... but unfortunately most monkeys can't handle it and it turns them into Nascar fans
That's one of the most apt commentaries on beer I've heard yet. Well played.
I'm not a big fan of alcohol in general (mostly do to overuse a few years ago. ick) but weird flavored ones, like the chocolate stout, or raspberry lambic, are still good in my book!
Of course, i like wines and beers of across the pond better than here, cause they have less additives i think.
There are plenty of good beers from here.
Just not the popular (macro brew) ones.
this is true, i am a fan of microbreweries. I've been considering for a long time brewing my own beer and such. I have odd preferences in alcohol, tho, cause I really don't like bitter or alcohol tastes.

True. At 15, a kid needs to concentrate on cheap, easily obtainable swill, rather than being all nit-picky.

Yeah, when I was 18, my friends and I basically drank Busch. Thank Christ I'm over 21 and can get good beer if I want to.

yeah, basically. which is why i don't drink it most of the time. there are some beers that taste better to me, so i drink those rarely, and beers from microbreweries without the sulfur or whatever they put in it I can sometimes take the more bitter, hopsy beers, but for the most part, not really my thing.

I'm actually pretty fond of the bitter stuff. But then I tend to like things with a little bit of flavor intensity. The more hops the better. Though, it should be noted that beer in general doesn't have a very strong alcoholic taste. I'm kind of an ale/porter/stout guy. Not very big on lagers or pilsners.
I like belgians, and there have been a few ales from local breweries that I've liked, such as sierra blanca's roswell alien amber ale. I thought it was tastey. but don't look it up, cause apparently i'm the only one who likes it.

it seems a lot of the local brews here in NM are pretty good.

If I'm in the Southwest, I'll put it on my list.
Incidentally, I will likely visit Phoenix within the next year. I believe Dok and Freeky are aware of the fact, if they are interested in coordinating something.
Boulder Porter is nice.
I really like the Unibrau micro brewery in canada. They make Moudite and La Fin Du Monde,
which i've only ever seen in a 2 pint fuck-your-shit-up bottle.
delirium nocturnum and le guillotine. both awesome. Delirium beers used to banned in your ridiculous "country"

I made a big mistake one night.
I mixed Maudite AND Le Fin du Monde with, of all things, absinthe.
Oh yeah.
A friend of mine had to vouch to the Salem Police that he was giving me a lift home.

Try Innis and Gunn. Doesn't taste bitter (if anything, it tastes creamy) and doesn't taste very alcoholic (despite having 8.5%), and is a damn good beer.
thanks cain, i will certainly do so at the first opportunity that presents itself. sounds like an interesting brew!
edit: hmm, according to their website they may only have a distributor in New York? darn. I'll have to do some local hunting and see.

Jesus christ I need to try this.
Cain speaks truth with Innis and Gunn. It's a purely delicious treat.
There was a beer, two years ago now, a limited release from Stone, that was the end all and be all of chocolate and, really, stouts in general. I don't know why they stopped making it, as I still have to name it as my favorite beer ever. Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout. Sweet fuck how I miss that beer.

My favorite has been, and still is, the Terrapin Coffee Oatmeal Imperial Stout aka Wake n Bake. Always looking for a stout to top that.
Kai- try Swamphead's Midnight Oil
It is comparable in tastiness as is Hunahpu (Marshal Zhukov's imperial stout aged over chilis, vanilla and cocoa nibs, the Zhukov is also good) by Cigar City Brewing

And now it's on tap at every decent bar in NY and in bottles at the only 2 good bars in Orlando
I am currently drinking Weyerbacher's "Tiny"
It's a belgian style imperial stout.
It definitely tastes like belgian yeast in a stout. It's pretty damn good. Sold only in 750mL

blonde, double or tripel?
I still gotta try out, say Grimbergen next to Leffe next to whatever other Belgian beers I can find of the same "number". Cause frankly I couldn't really say what's the difference between a Leffe Tripel and a Grimbergen Tripel.
Except for the doubles, I don't really like those so I wouldn't care enough. Blonde or tripel for me. Or maybe I should, in the case I happen find a double that I do really enjoy.
I'm not a fan of Grimbergen, personally.
also, just in case you didn' know. I think scotland wins at beer:

I'm not a big fan of brewdog, though i'd like to try the TNP and STB. One of their beers that I tried was either way too heavy on the simcoe hops or they did something wrong to them cause it smelled, I kid you not, just like dog poop.
