Watch or die.
I plan on it.
Damn you and your Northern Hemisphere space events :argh!:
Nows my chance to finally catch a ride on a UFO and escape the recycling of mankind
HEAVENS GATE HERE I COME!
:bob:
My hope is that it won't cloud over tonight and I'll actually be able to see it.

As far as I understand, this is a worldwide event...

According to Wikipedia it is primarily visible in the Northern hemisphere, so if I can see it, it probably won't be as cool.
Damn. Fuck you, northern hemisphere! :argh!:
one day the'll get a massive spectacle of some sort of space radiation and we're gonna miss it :argh!:
BTW Lys, could you see the aurora from Melbourne?
can't wait! Time to head out to the desert. :D
Just got in from finding the nearest, darkest place I could, been watching that fucking spacedust,
trying to get through our atmosphere. They didn't have the right papers.
Gravitational Migrants will not be given Refugee Status on this Planet. Enter Atmosphere at own risk. Our air is too hard for you. You will burn. But you cannot resist the Siren Song of our rapacious Gravity.
I saw a few last night, one was quite impressive.
I was just visiting family in Northern CA in one of those little rural towns where it was just perfect to watch meteors. The night sky was incredible down there, we could see the milky way and thousands and thousands of stars that are always hidden by light pollution for a city dweller like me.
It figures that I had to come back right before the meteor shower started though.

Nope
It was cloudy last night (and I'm in a city..), but tonight it's still on yeah?
Yeah, about 10.30, until 01.00 am. At an atmosphere near you.
We're smack dab in the middle of the Portland light pollution, but we saw a few last night.
The Perseids is one of the biggest and most active meteor showers. There's no moon tonight (it already set here in Providence) so that will help visibility. I don't know if I can see it though, I'm in some SERIOUS light pollution here because I'm on a main road near downtown. I should have tried last night when I was out in East Bay. Damn.
One year I caught it on the beach in North Shore Long Island stoned off my gourd with my boyfriend of the time. We were getting paranoid as fuck because we forgot about it.
ARGH I missed this. Work. :c
