Sorry to bug you and maybe I have no clue what I'm talking about but I have a friend that I told to make an account here. I told him yesterday because I thought it would be fun if he started posting with me but he tried to make an account today and it said sorry registration is closed. Is he doing something wrong or am I just lucky to have an account? haha Thanks

If he fucks up, he'll need to start over.
So he must have done something wrong when he was registering then and he can make an account?
I just talked to him and he cant get it to work maybe he is retarded or something I have no idea. He say sometimes it says registration closed and other times it say spammer. I told him maybe its the computer and he should try it at home because he is at the library.
What general region is he trying to register from?
IIRC registration is restricted in some wonky countries with a high spambot / real people ratio.

I dunno why this happens. People asked about it before. We should probably figure it out, who knows how many people try to sign up and fail and leave? :)
But the quick easy fix is what Peleus said, make the account for him, have him change the password as soon as it's approved. (we don't refuse people for signing up with a known IP, we just out them if they turn out to be unfunny alts, that's all)
PM me what you want his name to be and I will make sure the account is made.

The system that has completely killed any spambots registering here works in the following way:
The fields in registration such as user name etc are randomly titled by a one time name.
This is both its strength and weakness: if you fuck up these one time titles dont work:
you have to hit refresh instead of back
