RENT IS TOO DAMN HIGH :argh!:
:lulz:
Its less then average going by a few sites that collect stats on them.
I think he was referring to the "crash on demand" feature. :lulz:
Are people actually having connection problems because I haven't had one in fucking ages?

Internal server error? Or does it just sort of hang there. I have no recorded downtime for the last few days, that means something else is wrong.
I had one earlier where it was down a full ten minutes.
Again, what are people seeing, does it go to internal server error (as in the forum is choked with some big request) or does it just hang there and do nothing?

Site not found, etc.
I get a "Page not loading" timeout error.

Yikes. Time to contact support. That's not the server being down, its becoming unreachable for some reason. They are fucking up something major.

Mainly the 'Page not loading time out' which is bottle necks in the query's right?, but more infrequently an internal sever error when I try and post something, but it does end up posted anyways, and A GIANT WHIRRING DERVISH that sings Dolly Parton Songs.
But I'm lying about one of these.
The Internal server error I can deal with, that just means our bloated carcass of a database needs to be pruned or segmented up or something.
I can take care of that tomorrow.
Connections just dropping without a reason has me scared.
mine also says connection timeout alot usually 2-4 am east coast time

Don't know what to do about the dropping connections mind you. We usually just flame our host a bit till it gets sorted.
I just looked it up and thats what happens when the server fails to even return the internal server error message. I guess 2am eastern sea board time is a busy time?
Slash and burn time it is tomorrow. This time around I will be putting up a back up of whatever I throw overboard but it will have to be kept separate from here.
Two days in a row about four pm eastern timeout
Lasted maybe ten minutes, if I had to guess
This has been happening to me too, but I didn't think to record the times because I just chalked it up to shitty university network.
I'll do a prune later, oddly enough it seems to happen when we reach the same total posts.
I've been having problems as well - usually in line with updates posted here, (http://status.dreamhost.com/) though.

Not an awful lot of those updates apply to us, the shared servers go down all the time. Though that is the first port of call if the site goes down.
