Title: DEAR PEEDEE
Post by: bds on November 28, 2010, 11:59:25 AM
So tomorrow I'm headed to a politics conference down in London. It's some student thing that gets put on every year, basically we get to meet with politicians, ask them questions in an open forum type thing. Apparently we have to get up at like 5am, which I'm not very happy about, but that's besides the point.

So here is a list of the people I THINK will be there (note this isn't definite, I lost the letter thing so I just pulled this off the internet, might not be true)

Alan Duncan, Simon Hughes, David Blunkett, Sir George Young and Mr Speaker Bercow.

Anybody think of any questions? Or topics for questions?

Alan Duncan gets very touchy about his second home.  Lots of questions about expenses are mandatory.

Ask Blunkett why Blair can apologize for treading on his dog's ear but not the Iraq War.  Also ask him if he still thinks shooting rioting prisoners is the right approach to prison discipline.

Telll Simon Hughes that funds await him in a Swiss bank account if he is prepared to overthrow Nick Clegg in a bloody coup, take control of the Lib Dems and cause the coalition to fall.

Ask George Young, in these exact words "have the number of homeless people you step over when you come out the opera increased or decreased since the recession?"

And this is why I'm never invited to political meetings anymore.
