We have the traffic light Robocops. They have discovered that extremes in weather can make the camera take a picture for no reason. Since that was proven in court, along with the "prove I was driving" defense, these tickets get thrown out 98% of the time if you actually fight them. Most people just mail a check!

You mean the camera devices that take a picture if you go too fast, then applies a bit of computer vision to extract the license plate to automatically send you a fine? You call those "robocops"? :lol: In the Netherlands, you have those things all over the fucking place.
Any idea how quickly they pay themselves back with the extra fines? They're basically free money for the government.
They used to sell little radar devices that detect them so you know where the mobile ones are (most of them are stuck in place though). But they outlawed them.
For the stationary ones, their spots are marked in the TomTom navigation maps.
Oh another funny story, last year with Sinterklaas (think Christmas), this one town had their flash-pole-cameras gift-wrapped, as a "present" for car drivers :lol:

They've doing that here for six or seven years. They're easy to spot thought. If I see a white Cadillac, I slow the fuck down to right about the speed limit. I rarely drive more than five miles an hour above the limit anyway, but cops in my town are bored.

Also, I've started a new campaign to raise fuel efficiency. It's called "Drive 50 mph on the highway." Seriously, 50 mph is more than fast enough for a fleshy biped. I really want to get enough people to take up all of the lanes, and just do this for a twenty mile stretch, see how many cars we can collect behind us.
I am habituated to 70mph as a baseline. At 50, I feel like I'm walking. It's unbearable.

They're welcome to act however they like until the day they do the same thing to somebody who's trying to change lanes right in a hurry and, just this once, didn't check their blind spot for the asshole who took the wrong path around them.
Passing is not just passing. The right is a car's means of escape in order to access the break down lane in a hurry, try to get to an exit, or avoid danger. So long as you are passing people on their left, that means you have constant control and awareness of what's going on on your right, meaning you can be ready for unlikely shit. If you've got a prick passing you on your right, now you have an unnecessary danger.
Pass on the fucking left. And in the same vein, once you've passed on the left get the fuck out of the passing lane to let others behind you do the same thing. I just want to say thanks to Suu for apparently being the only one that actually got the point of this post. I would say I'm disappointed by a few of you, but this is actually completely in line with the shitheadedness I'd expect from those who delivered on it.
I'd also like to thank PMZ for at least trying to make a conversation out of it instead of turning on some bland insults and little "morally correct" insinuations.

LOL. Once I was driving along, the only car on the road. Two other cars showed up and started playing pass and cut-off with me. I raised my .45 up so they could see it and jacked a round in the chamber, then laid the gun on the dash. I have no idea where they went, but I never saw them again. :lulz:
I've mellowed in my old age, but as a young man I had no problem at all with running an idiot off the road. I was well insured.

I can be like that, but you have to do something really egregious to earn my wrath. I tormented a bitch in a green minivan all the way to the beach this summer because she roared up behind me, tailgated me, and then proceeded to whip around me with an attitude that said I was ruining her day by existing on the same road. The funny thing was that I was going the speed of traffic; she just didn't like the totally reasonable gap I was leaving between me and the truck in front of me. So, I made it my mission to get in front of her and make her miss lights, box her into frustrating positions behind slow-moving delivery trucks, and as soon as she was trapped somewhere I'd zoom ahead. I could tell it was driving her insane, and the best part is that it turned out she was going to the same place I was; Camp Westwind, to pick up a kid. I was laughing my ass off when I got out of the car and saw her sorry ass rolling in, and I gave her a huge smile. She pretended not to see me.
I hate other moms.

They couldn't live a day driving over here. You have to be cutthroat, but with enough caution to handle black ice, or you die. Simple as that. Either you play pussy and drive in the right lane the whole time (which I've done during certain hours of the day on 195) or you do 10-20mph over the speed limit to keep up with everyone else, including the cop who just passed you just cruisin', and you make sure you pay attention, because NOBODY uses their directional.
I love living in a small town. A well armed citizenry insures a certain amount of courtesy. :D
Oh, and in Florida? Sure, the old people may be all over the local roads, driving you nuts... But when the speed limit is 80 on I-4 and it's a 12 lane highway, you better hold on to your fucking 'Oh Shit!' handle, because we're going back in time. The roads are flat, and at night, people drag. I've gotten up to 120 without even TRYING driving to Orlando before. It's like Podracing down there.
Right lane? FUCK THE RIGHT LANE. There's a speed MINIMUM, and it's dominated by freight trucks that are fully loaded with refrigerated cars taking produce up North. They're on a schedule, and they don't fuck around.
Who says NASCAR is worthless? I'll tell you why it ain't, ya goddamn yanks...I learned how to draft! I've drafted truckers up 75 heading to Alabama, and I did it driving back from PA last year too on 80. (GS thought it was awesome!) And if it wasn't for NASCAR, the first time I hit black ice up here I'd have been dead. I caught a curve too fast and spun out on the bridge. I countersteered and didn't brake until physics did it's job.

Who says NASCAR is worthless? I'll tell you why it ain't, ya goddamn yanks...I learned how to draft! I've drafted truckers up 75 heading to Alabama, and I did it driving back from PA last year too on 80. (GS thought it was awesome!) And if it wasn't for NASCAR, the first time I hit black ice up here I'd have been dead. I caught a curve too fast and spun out on the bridge. I countersteered and didn't brake until physics did it's job.
...I hate driving.
I had a nice '56 Chevy 2 door hardtop that was souped up when I was a teen in Florida. Even then we would drive like that.

I just want to say thanks to Suu for apparently being the only one that actually got the point of this post. I would say I'm disappointed by a few of you, but this is actually completely in line with the shitheadedness I'd expect from those who delivered on it.
I'd also like to thank PMZ for at least trying to make a conversation out of it instead of turning on some bland insults and little "morally correct" insinuations.

I'll apologize for my part in the derail.
They couldn't live a day driving over here. You have to be cutthroat, but with enough caution to handle black ice, or you die. Simple as that. Either you play pussy and drive in the right lane the whole time (which I've done during certain hours of the day on 195) or you do 10-20mph over the speed limit to keep up with everyone else, including the cop who just passed you just cruisin', and you make sure you pay attention, because NOBODY uses their directional.
That sounds similar to driving in Illinois, especially where I live.
