Title: NO! No watching my dreams!
Post by: Adios on January 01, 2011, 08:00:03 PM
Have you been dreaming of a white Christmas? Scientists may soon be able to show your winter scene on a computer screen once you've drifted into a peaceful slumber.

A Japanese research team has successfully processed and displayed images directly from the human brain, they said in a study to be published in the US magazine Neuron.

While the researchers at the ATR Computational Neuroscience Laboratories have only reproduced simple images from the brain, they said the technology could eventually be used to display dreams.

A spokesman for the Kyoto-based company said it was the first time that it had ever been possible to visualise what people saw directly from their brain activity, a spokesman said.

I don't think so, thanks anyway.

I think this technology is already out there, CB. And in a Modem format too. Covertly, and not very common. But definitely out there. I know fe shizzly dizzle, because a couple of years ago, I was DreamTrolled for nearly 3 months, night after night, with no let up at all, by Milla Jovovich. I know she looks quite 'normal' and presents herself well, but she is one very sick puppy! Some of the things she forced me to endure, depraved things, debauched things, really fucking twisted things, would make a Brasilian Farm Porn flickfest seem like "Carry on Cabbie" in comparison.
Piping her filth into my private dreamspace, without so much as a by your leave! I couldn't figure out how she was doing it to start with. It was freaky deaky!
She made me do things to her that up until then, I had only ever dre . . . heard were possible. Turned out she was piggybacking my downstairs Neighbour's Wi Fi network, then bluetoothing straight into my wetware, as soon as she detected any Alpha activity. I worked out what she did, was leave a kind of mimetic tracking cookie in my brain,  Then just log in whenever she liked.  But it was slowly killing me. Morally and physically.
Eventually I had to take a big bunch of speed just  to stay on top of it all,  and Firewall my cerebral cortex with Ketamine for 3 nights. Then purge my cortical cache, make a restore point, and then power down with Rohypnol and Hemineverin. Then completely reinstall my operating system, by getting 72 hours of Jovovich free sleep.
It worked too. That was 2 years ago, and she hasn't been back since. Strange thing is Charley, I fucking miss her. Like a limb. But I know it's crazy, because she would be the death of me. Oh, she phoned a couple of times, and tried to get me to "add" her again, begged me, in fact. But I managed to say no.
So be warned, these dream machines  totally mesh with the human brain, but the potential for abuse is too risky. Someone else is under Milla's Filthy Fuck Knuckle now, and they might not even realise it.  Lucky Poor Bastard. :gheyforum:

I don't want that dream where I think I'm Captain Crunch, and I'm sitting on a big pile of gold, then I wake up and realize it was just a dream and get all mad and can't go back to sleep on Youtube!

Probably just my natural ebullient personality CB,

Oh, and a little quality variant of the tried and tested C9H13N  Formula, reliably sourced from old school enthusiasts, with impeccable credentials.

Soft and wet like toothpaste.

They can VISUALIZE your dreams? Shoot, get a dedicated piece of hardware and save that shit as a video file... I'd really like to look over something like that. Screw keeping a log of your dreams, that would chop out most of the work... If you had one that was good enough, I wonder if you could sell it...?

I wonder how it would respond to those dreams where you realize your dreaming and screw everything up by taking the opportunity to wield godlike powers over the entire dreamscape?... I usually end up just flying around though, or walking on air, that's always a bit of a strange feeling.

Oh dear lord...that's a good point. There'd have to be stringent laws against any kind of punishment or preemptive punishment for dreamcrime.

He is totally gonna ban you from REMing, for a looong time! You're gonna get your Stipe wiped. I know it was you, made my Wife do all that stuff to them Donkeys in my Dreams.
