Title: a very sad day indeed
Post by: Dysnomia on January 05, 2011, 04:53:58 AM
I was stumbling about the internetz and came upon this unsettling site.

http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/1llynk/isnt.autistics.org/

The fact that as many as 9625 out of every 10,000 individuals may be neurotypical is frighteningly sad.  Many of you forum dwellers may even fall into the category of being neurotypical.  (but then again maybe not!)  We must fight to find a cure for being neurologically typical!
:x

Oh yeah, I remember this. It's about people who don't fall into the autism spectrum.

As an aspie, and therefore being borderline neurotypical I cant help but sympathize with them. In fact I remember going to school with a few NT kids. They all had their own little group that went around, laughing and shouting. It was so sad to look into their eyes and know that they would never know the joy of reaching level 85 on World of Warcraft, or installing linux on a rooted Kindle.

Those poor, poor souls...
My only consolation is knowing that we are close to a cure:

No no, it was the vaccines that make you autistic. Remember?

Then it wasn't the vaccines...then it was...then crazy moms didn't give their kids shots anyway, and now measles, mumps and rubella are making a comeback because of immigrants...or something.

be careful, vaccine deniers get called before Jenny McCarthy.  You'll have to name the names of your conspirators who are spreading the lie that vaccines aren't the cause of autism.

It's being called McCarthyism I believe.

[whew, had to stretch for that one]
