It's not as bad as the news are making out. Najib Mikati has been the PM of Lebanon before, in 2005, and that wasn't the end of the world. He's moderately pro-Syrian, but was willing to compromise with anti-Syrian groups, as he did with the assassination of Rafik Hariri.
Also the March 8th Alliance, who manouvered him into power, are made up mostly Maronite Christians first, Hezbollah second (and many more moderate and secular parties besides). Is it a worrying display that Hezbollah has growing power in the region? Yes. Is it the end of all mankind, the tears of puppies and the whisperings of Azathoth in your head? Nope.
This will be worth watching though. It would be nice if it brings a calming effect.
Going by the riots on the streets and all the stuff that got set on fire, I somehow doubt it.

Aww, Cain, those a celebratory riots. You know the Lebanese are Detroit Pistons fans.
Now I have to go see. Via media, of course.
