Follow-up to my other rant. Here's the bad guys as I see them. My plan at the bottom.
Fnordie/Machine Grind Dream/who-knows-which-others: Crapflooder. Sometimes worthwhile to read, but with such an incredible post rate, it's no wonder the hit rate is so low. I think his quality has gone down recently, too. I used to like him.
TGRR: An ancient wise guy gone bad. Apparently always misanthropic, but used to produce enough good stuff to offset it. Seems like nobody has the heart (or guts?) to tell him off, so we just tiptoe around him. We're like a "battered woman" to his "abusive husband".
East Coast Hustle (In case he comes back from his trip sometime): Kinda like Roger, but without the redeeming qualities. At least his post rate isn't quite so high as fnordie's.
...
I'm calling on the rest of you to join Bella, myself, and probably a few more posters in just plain ostracizing these people. Since we apparently can't just ban them, let's try and get them to become bored and leave.
And feel free to add your own nominations to the list. After all, it's not like somebody has to ratify the list or anything. (Obviously, posts to this thread by any of the bad guys will be ignored just as any of their other posts will. Don't waste your time.)
HAW HAW
Goddammit I just got a book in the mail. Now Im going to have sift through all this ancient butthurt before I can start reading it.

Maybe if we ask nicely, and then threaten with whips, chains, and 3-horsepower motors, we'll get a history lesson.
How about it, oldsters? Can we get a history lesson?
That guy was a dumbass.
And also, I obviously hadn't got the puns into full gear since I didn't make the list.
This will probably end up as some sort of Roshomon mashup, because we probably all remember it differently, depending on when we were posting, which threads we paid attention to, and what our various board friendships were.
Plus, I suffer from PPSD (Post Principia Stress Disorder), so I've forgotten a lot.
If I find some time, I can try to write up what it looked like from my monitor; which is subjective to say the very least.
Me, I've always loved hearing the same story from multiple points of view.

Woot!
Eric was someone vastly unpopular who posted under the name Great Teacher Largo. He came onto Devil Squirrel, she was I think around 13 at the time, and became even more unpopular. Eventually he and Aini went and started a forum called PrincipiaDiscordia.org, which was trolled into the ground shortly after this post.
Search for 'Great Teacher Largo' for laughs.
A couple of great bedfellows eh? The pedo and the racist.

No idea. I know he took the name from some anime, so that could theoretically be anyone.
I meant search that name here, at PD.com.
On second thought, don't do a PD.com search, because you'll probably crash the site.

Advanced search is not. Here is his profile, enjoy: http://www.principiadiscordia.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=901 (http://www.principiadiscordia.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=901)
Here's how it all started.
We were having a regular old flamewar, like we always have, over content vs fluff. Hugh was very much on the fluff side. He elected to start a large number of alts, and feed people bad information, about other "alleged" alts, and go into the database to let people read other peoples' PMs, usually out of context.
The explosion that resulted was epic.
Everything else stems from that. GTL was just a loser that happened to be here at the time. Ataraxia was one of the Hugh crew, if not Hugh himself, but was using a clean IP, so I still don't know who it was...So I go to my default position: Blame Hugh.
Ahhh.
I think Ataraxia was a real person, but was quickly fed information by Hugh and likely several others (Eldora, for example) via PM and went off half-cocked at TGRR, Machine Grind Dream and ECH, calling upon all the "good" board members to ignore and ostracize them, for some contrived reason.
I also remember drunkenly trolling his thread, demanding to be added to the list.
IIRC, there is a civil war history thread buried around here somewhere.
My history didn't deal with this event, though someone elses might.
I should actually write some sort of attempted objective version of what happened. Maybe. Someday. When I'm not busy.
I thought your take on the events of the Civil War were very objective. Factual, even.
Thanks.
What I meant to say, before I had a mental fart and typed that sentence, was that my account was lacking in terms of describing several key and minor events, in favour of style. So a Fully Full Account (for Fullness) still needs to be done.
Also, I originally thought this thread was about the American Civil War. Which confused me, as I was pretty sure everyone from that war was now dead.
As opposed to the English Civil War, whose participants are Really Really Dead (for Deadness).

Dick Clark is still alive.
