Should I be concerned that I know what the hell a "pog" is? Should I be even more concerned that it makes me nostalgic?
Phox,
Still has a POG collection and some really nice slammers.
Possibly, but I remember them as well, if only vaguely.
As a hawaiian kid, I actually know what P.O.G stands for, and am thoroughly ashamed that the last major memetic virus from Hawaii were those damn cardboard discs when I was in gradeschool.

Quote"It's sort of ridiculous, but I'd catch Pete looking at a picture of Robert Redford as Gatsby, then he'd cut back to Gatsby's sprite and like, change a pixel, and nod approvingly," Hoey explains. "We argued about these things and would occasionally just catch ourselves and be like, 'Are we really fighting about how to best interpret Meyer Wolfsheim as a 16x32px sprite? That's awesome.'"
This is Glorious. :lulz:
Years from now, when I try to remember anything about The Great Gatsby, all my memories will be of this game instead of the book. And I'm okay with that.
This game almost redeems the book.

I'll say one thing, that T.J Eckelberg boss is a bitch to beat. Maybe I'm just rusty on my NES skills.

I think what I liked about that book was that there were no likable characters. Except maybe Nick Carroway. But that's more pity than anything else.
