QuoteJudson Phillips, founder of the Tea Party Nation, claimed his organization is under attack by the Internet hacktivist group known as "Anonymous."

Just one problem... The folks at Anonymous aren't taking credit, and they're usually not shy about doing so...
Actually, it varies.
For instance, I know for a fact that Anonymous were behind the hack which put flashing images on an epileptic forum, but they did it in such a hamfisted way they made it look like it was a Scientologist false-flag op gone terribly wrong. The CoS then took the blame for it.
And standard /i/nsurgent doctrine suggests you do whatever works best to further Psy Ops. If you think claiming it for Anon will cause people to freak out, then do it. On the other hand, if you want to make people look bad, then using racism and porn without claiming is definitely the way forward.
I wonder how Judson Phillips noticed? Oh... probably the porn.
Blaming Anonymous in general seems dumb. It's not an organized group, its not even an unorganized group, its whoever feels like calling themselves Anonymous. You may as well blame Goths for something cause a bunch of guys in cheap mascara did it.

Not at all.
Blaming Anonymous means they can pass off anything posted on their website that's truly offensive as, "oh, that's just one of those GUYS trying to make us look bad..."
OK yeah, as long as people don't quite understand that Anon isn't a group blaming them (either because you really have a troll problem or to deflect criticisms about real members) makes good PR.
I wonder if it's possible to make Anon into a viable excuse about why you don't have your homework finished? It could be the next 'my dog ate it'!

"I didn't plagiarize it, honest! Hackers stole my homework, posted it somewhere else online, put an earlier date on it!"

that would actually be really funny to do...
It might be even funnier if you did that to your own work, and see if anyone catches you.
