QuoteUnfortunately, this is liberal loudmouth Clarence Dupnik's turf. Had this happened in Phoenix, on conservative Sheriff Joe Arpaio's watch,
Luna, I'm surprised that you went to a conservatard blog for a second opinion.
Also, yes it's fucked up. I already seen it in the Unlimted AZ hilarity thread. Vex posted.
ETA: The fact that this didn't happen in Phoenix gives me a weird feeling. However, if he did have a gun, the swat team are likely to shoot first and ask questions later.
The article I read also says that it was a major drug bust on that block, or something similar. I don't doubt his wife, but it could have been a horrible, awful mistake.
I'm going to back to sleep now. Is too :(

How'd I miss that? :|
Yeah, I do hit other sources, but that one was linked directly from the first article.
They occasionally CAN say something useful. It happens. Broken clock theory.
It's Tucson, Jake.
Reason.com, while 95% useless, does reporting on the drug war and abuse of SWAT teams very well. In fact, if they junked everything else and just had Balko report on those two things, I might even stop trolling the comments there.
Oh.
Well, the bit about Arpaio just kind of made me :|
Here's follow up of the cops trying to cover their asses.

The man shot and killed by Pima County SWAT officers was linked to a home-invasion crew, the attorney representing the officers said Thursday.
Attorney Michael Storie said authorities found rifles, handguns, body armor and a portion of a law-enforcement uniform inside the house where Jose Guerena was shot by officers serving a search warrant May 5.
It isn't just the cops.

It's quite optimistic to think this sort of thing only happens in Arizona.
Also the Indiana supreme court just took a giant dump on the 4th amendment, notice the familiar odor:
