Whenever Roger spoke about the depravities of Dutch horror porn, I assumed he was exaggerating. At least a littlebit.
But no longer.

edit: actually I'm going to go with Luna's suggestion: don't click the link. even though it's just a textual description of a horror movie, the imagery has been haunting my mind all day :|

For the love of all that is holy or UNHOLY, do NOT click on that link.
For the sake of your sanity, do NOT attempt to track down that video.
It was shown to me. Once. I sat through it, for reasons I can not explain.
Just thinking back on it makes me need an adult.
It's just a Wikipedia article! There's not even NSFW imagery in it (otherwise I'd have tagged it).
According to the Discussion page it's even being considered a candidate for Featured Article :lulz:
As far as the video concerns, I have no intention whatsoever of finding it or watching it.
I saw a review of that movie. The little that was allowed to be shown during the review was enough for me to not want to watch it (though I was intrigued before based on the concept)
What's worse is they are making a sequel. And supposedly the imagery is even worse than the first. Think I read somewhere that it has already been banned in at least one country.

Knowing anything about it will taint your brain. Forever.
The thought of infusing this thought into the brain of GIGGLES terrifies me.

Actually, I think I agree. The thought of it has been disgusting me all day so I edited the OP to reflect that.
What were the circumstances under which you were shown this movie?
You only just found out about this? :lulz:
BEST. TROLL MOVIE. EVER.
You do realise, people *COSPLAY* this now?

Same circumstances as a lot of the more interesting stuff that's happened, actually... Was over at an old SCA buddy's place with Richter and Suu, if I recall correctly, and it was a, "hey, this is cool, watch this" night gone terribly, horribly wrong.

What's fucking wrong with people?!
I saw an extended trailer for this. I was impressed with the attention to detail with this depravity.

WTF. :lulz: My favorite part is that
someone had to think this up.
There was going to be a sequel, until the UK banned it (ostensibly for being "obscene", actually for being "crap").
The word "love" gets thrown around a lot. I love that movie. The ending is glorious. Just watch it, don't listen to these people, don't look it up.

Wow...
I am amazed that they were able to stretch that concept out into a 90 minute movie.

Don't be. It's not like it was watchable.
...people have made tattoos and necklaces and cat toys about this movie.

... cat toys?
You HAD to post there were cat toys.
Now I've gotta unplug my keyboard every time I leave the house so my damn cats don't order one of those abominations when I'm not looking. They will, you know... Fortunately, no opposable thumbs, so they can't plug the keyboard or mouse back in when I'm not looking.
Had to come up with SOMETHING. The catnip bills were getting outrageous.
this looks hilarious i must watch it :lulz:
I was between awe and hysterical laughter the whole time. But I'm a little funny when it comes to gore. Ive laughed the same way watching surgery videos in school.
Like my friend said, it can't even be good BAD horror, there's simply not enough tits.
This has been on my watch-list for a few months now. Haven't taken the time to actually get to it, though. The trailer makes it look comical.

I FAPPED SO HARD TO THIS SHIT!
FUCK, DICK GETTING HARD THINKING ABOUT IT.
BRB FAPPING.
I watched it on Netflix a few weeks ago. It was disappointingly lame.
It's a movie solely based on a premise. So once you get over the premise there really isn't that much there beyond that.
It's watchable - though loses a lot on multiple viewings.
I think the major problem was they gave away the plot in the trailer so if you saw the trailer (which for small productions like this is almost a must) the shock value was lost. Also the third act felt hacked together.
Sorry for the thread jack here but as for dutch horror movies...
"Amsterdamned" is a pretty good though stereotypical serial killer movie. Worth checking out,
also "De Lift" sounds ridicules and it is, but it's also kind of fun in that 80's VHS horror way too (don't get the remake "Down", it sucks).
Also I have to admit "The Johnson's" is a guilty pleasure of mine, though not particularly good it is probably my favorite Dutch horror.
"Necrophobia" has it's cult following and I could see why. It's interesting for sure, unfortunately the movie suffers from it's lack of any budget.
Also check out "Sint" or "Saint" (?) Came out last year, not really good but hilarious cause it has Saint Nicholas going around killing children :lulz:
I haven't seen "Two Eyes Staring", though I heard it's a decent little ghost story, and I like ghost stories. I think it was actually part of a TV series in Holland that got a release on it's own. I don't know much about it cause I haven't seen it. Only heard of it.
Quote from: Thurnez Isa on June 30, 2011, 03:59:11 AMAlso the third act felt hacked together.
:argh!: I see what you did there.
Anyway, I saw the movie. It wasn't that interesting, though the look on the face of the cop that found the victims was priceless iirc.
I liked "Amsterdamned", though it's more like an action movie, IIRC? I saw it many many years ago though.
I've heard "De Lift" was pretty good, for its time, but I've never seen it.
Also, if you can find an English subtitled version of "Alles is Liefde", check it out, you'll get a Dutch remake of "Love, Actually" that plays during Sinterklaas instead of Christmas  [I happen to like romcoms, sometimes]
