I would think it would have to be a helluva job to cover the cost of childcare for all those kids and still have enough left to support them. If she could swing that, i would think any sane person would jump at the chance to get away from the home for a bit. eh... it's just what people pay attention to, because it's unusual. sadly the methed-out mothers are common, and therefore don't get a lot of focus. If you were to put up a thread about a standard methed-out mother doing standard methed-out mother stuff, then there would be some replies of 'wow. that sucks.' and that's probably about it, right?

That's what I was talking about--I only saw a hair's breadth of it on the TV before I turned it off. Otherwise I really do NOT pay much attention to this shit. I just find it interesting she doesn't try the actual CAREER path other than perpetual-15-minute-er to make the few bucks she's making.
