Once in a blue moon, I bust out some audio software and try to make musics.
It's usually pretty bad.
I made this minute long song this morning, mainly to get reacquainted with my audio software. I'm posting it here not because it's good (it's not), but so when I actually figure out how to make music people want to listen to, I can look back at how far I've come.
Here's a very short song. It has no title. http://kiwi6.com/file/t3l03g5mzm
That was pretty good actually. I think you've got a good knack for playing around a melody.
:)
Also posting to say thanks for the Kiwi6. I didn't know where to host some of my audio rants that I don't necessarily want to host on my site, but want to share here.
I liked it. It was simple, not unharmonious, and sounded pretty.
My first thought was 'cute'. It's a nice little upbeat tune. I liked it and am interested in following your music's evolution.
alright, here's something else entirely:

THIS MUSIC JUST CHANGED MY LIFE!!!
it's pretty good, lightyears better than whenever I try to come up with a melody.
something about it kind of reminds me of kraftwerk's really old stuff.
There's something not quite right about the drum-line. Its sound is simple, but it's rhythm is somehow too elaborate. I'd err on the side of simplicity. Or maybe it's just the relative volume of all the drum samples, I don't know.
(this was re: the first one, btw)
THE SECOND ONE IS SO CRAZY IT CHANGED MY LIFE RIGHT BACK--GOOD JOB
I'm pretty sure now the thing with the drums is that you need to adjust the relative volumes. Or maybe try a different drum synth machine :)
Additionally, I'm fairly sure that you need to download some nature documentary and sample the sounds of screeching monkeys to accompany this track. Either that or classic cartoon sound effects. Or both. Or maybe do sounds of monkeys and typewriters :)
These are both pretty good!
no they're not, but thank you.
I made this track as a combat soundtrack for a LARP
http://kiwi6.com/file/40x2294t2m
I'm running an encounter where all the enemies have an attack they do at the same time, cued by the soundtrack. So if you pay attention to the soundtrack cue, you can outsmart / out-maneuver them.
A cabalmate and I are working on this project
we're a boy band
called S3X DR1VE
all the music we've made so far has been using this iphone app which autotunes your voice and sets it to one of three music tracks
it is uniformly awful, and I don't think any of them are longer than a minute

Penis Dream rocks my socks off. Definitely making that my ringtone for when my GF calls.
An early draft of "Horse Song"
http://kiwi6.com/file/f8e742ytr8
This is background music for a specific scene at a LARP I'm playing in two weeks. It's background music for a ritual, so I'm going for a mystical, mysterious sound
the next version will include horse noises
Here's a bunch of audio I made for Radio Free Discordia:
Cramulus reading from Pirates and Buccaneers of our Coast
Chapter IV - Peter the Great: http://kiwi6.com/file/y8192ycozi

"Bear Versus Whale: A Love Nocturne FOR THE DEAD"

it's a poem about Albany and zombies.
:lulz: These are great.

The Final Version of "Horse Song", which is written as background music for a scene at a LARP adventure I'm running this weekend

S3X DR1VE's new tracks just dropped
this shit is so awful
I mean, we are using the songify app, with the same background rhythm every time. I keep asking my musician friends, "Do you feel like a sucker for spending all that time developing music skills?" Seriously, you can churn out top 40 pop music in SECONDS these days, with ABSOLUTELY NO SKILL WHATSOEVER. Legitimate musical talent is for SPAGS.
The OLD way is to release an album with like 12 tracks, each one of them should be unique in some way. That's bullshit. the S3X DR1VE formula is to release basically the same track over and over again until we get laid.
Did anybody Jizz last nite?

and just to be clear, the joke here:
It always cracks me up when a liquor commercial wraps up with a court mandated "drink responsibly" PSA.
"Pound back 10 Jager Bombs responsibly!"the goal was to mix up the GETTIN CRUNK IN DA CLUB vibe with the DRINK RESPONSIBLY vibe and see what came out.
fuck my hams, i just listened to all three of those in a row
i think i now have septicemia
I left this on my buddy's voicemail: http://kiwi6.com/file/0t1lebx63l
I hope your buddy appreciates being called bitch but otherwise :lulz:
BTW I just had a brilliant idea, someone should do "With a little help from my friends" except the lyrics would start
What would you do, if I sang autotuned ...

Do you mind if I burn a few CDs for some friends who have become internet-challenged recently?
