So, issue #2 of the Wonder Woman reboot introduces Eris as a bad guy:

That's the only one I could find with a quick googling. Basic story so far is Hermes, Diana, and a woman pregnant with Zeus's latest bastard are hiding out from Hera's minions on Paradise Island. In the second issue, Eris (actually she's only been called "Strife" so far) went there, tricked a shitload of Amazons into attacking one another, and then turned all giant-sized.

So far I've got high hopes for the series--Azzarello seems to be going full-blown mythic with it and there's kind of a "Sandman" vibe to the story and the art.

Is the comic a good read?  If so I'm the old fashioned type...I think I'll try to find a print copy or two.  The comic would probably make the most romantic of gifts for that special Discordian sweetie I'm destined to find...or maybe really hip kindling.  Hmm....

I've read all of dc's new 52 and this series is by far the best azzerelo is exactly the writer ww needed to make it good again. Grant Morrison is talking about writing it some stage next year which is unfortunate, going by his recent batman stuff he is burned out. Longer the azzerello works on this the better.

Finally, someone who actually read the mythology.

However, she should be a hideous crone.

If there's any word that really doesn't apply, here, it would be "should," I'm thinking.  It's when you get comfy with a particular idea or image that she seems to bites you in the ass with it.

That's okay, I'm a Gnostic agnostic.

The batman stuff wasn't one of Morrison's best, but I love what he's doing with Superman in Action Comics. In addition to Action and WW, my top picks from the reboot so far are Frankenstein: Agent of Shade, Justice League Dark, and, strangely enough, Aquaman. I'm also looking forward to Keith Giffen ending J.T. Krull's reign of fucking awful on Green Arrow.

Action was good, maybe I'm being unfair but his tron issue of batman was garbage. Jl dark was really good though it only came into it's own on issue two.

Other good stuff I've liked was catwoman it's well written fun and captures her personality well but it got slated because she is so sexually aggressive. It's something that hasn't been explored well since burtons batman returns.

Animal man and swamp thing are shaping up to be a pretty good ensemble piece but I'll have to give both a few more issues before I really get into them.

I've also enjoyed Animal Man and Swamp Thing so far. I agree that the complaints about Catwoman art were blown at least a little out of proportion, but didn't pick up the second issue because the first issue read like the script of every masturbatory "she's like a bad-ass assassin chick in leather" movie I've ever seen.

Nah they humble her a lot in issue two and three. It isn't much more then an action movie formula but it is fun.
