I guess this will come in handy when people start protesting in the streets of London against the impending Falklands War II (http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/feb/08/argentina-falklands-un-cristina-kirchner).
And of course, the UK would equally never use such a justification to get around CW international treaties by exploiting loopholes allowing for domestic CW development, then covertly use those weapons overseas, like in the Falklands.
Although the way things are going at the moment, France would have to declare it was going to defend the Falklands (http://www.acus.org/natosource/britain-and-france-had-insist-us-allow-their-warships-join-iran-flotilla) before we declared our interest.
What the jesus FUCK.
