Yep.

Good King Trollax and his angsty subjects.

Just about every thread is either Daven admiring himself, Trollax ranting about feminism, or someone bitching about how mean the world is, and how everyone is a shit.

TOO funny.

will he have to panhandle for bandwidth on the street?

I dunno.  He's still there, though, at least for the moment, tormenting Trollax for the high crime of thinking that he's Above Jakery.

I give him 1 - 2 days, and he'll show up here, having burned down what's left of that forum.

It is the Year of the Locust, and J. Edgar Hoover never died.

Yes, I'm a lurker here. And I'm also glad you figured me nice enough. And yes, I also know I have a problem with whining. Right now, I'm going to just say this little piece and let it be.

The only reason Trollax snapped so easily is because you were getting under his skin and on his nerves at a time when he doesn't really need anymore trouble. He's on-edge enough as it is anymore, and even a little bit of pushing (no matter what way it was meant), can knock him right over.

I'm really sad that it came to personal acts, of which he was as guilty as you, but that's how he reacts when cornered. He used to tell me you were one of his favorite people... It's ashame that changed, and while I'm still not too sure how it did (I can see no differences between your current attitude and the one he found so amusing), I'm still not happy it did.

*smiles and nods* And yes, love is blind and dumb. But without it, the world stops making sense anymore. Call me a hopeless romantic, call me an idiot, if you will (And I'm sure you will ), but I love the big dork, faults and all.

Thank you for your time.

A touch of class, refinement and diplomacy. I'm sure it will all be lost on Roger, but you have much to teach your boyfriend. I would hope it's not too late for that one.

By the way, you've got it backwards kid, without love the world starts making sense. And what a twisted thing that would be.

*smiles softly* Personally, I think once all the stress passes, he'll be back to his old odd humoured self. One can only hope, for his own mental sanity... This constant striking attitude certainly isn't good for his health.

Hehe. Never thought of it that way.

Trollax lets this shit get under his skin way too much. I mean, its the internet. Shut your computer OFF, go outside, watch TV.  Why let a text box have that much power over you?  Hey, Roger was definately being an asshole, but he was upfront about it. Why does it even matter?

Of course, that line of reasoning is almost completely rhetorical unless Trollax happens to float by and read it.

I'm choosing not to root for either side.
That's one of several reasons I left the mirror....not that anyone was asking me to get in the middle of it.
But I felt torn by watching my friends slug it out with each other.

He's upset with himself over what he did and how he reacted (overreacted); however, he's being stubborn and refusing to apologize... *shakes her head* I'm disappointed in him, needless to say, but I'm only able to push so far. *snorts* Hell, I'm surprised I got him to admit he acted like a jackass.

All this objective non-side taking is enough to make me sick. I'm firmly on my own side. It happens to align with Roger this time.

Since I'm the last man standing over at the mirror, I'm just going to keep making absurd declarations from my tower in the land of Thud. If it bugs Fascist (hey, he admitted he was) Trollax, it shouldn't, I'm just being silly now.

I wonder what Hugh makes of me hijacking his sub-forum. He's been absent from all of this.

I'm a member of Hugh's Purple Monkey Cabal, so I hear from him from time to time.
He was traveling for a while, but now he's home again.
He'll be back once he takes care of some mundane stuff, like changing his residence, etc.

As for what he would think about the jihaad and subsequent hijacking, I refer you to the first thread in Golden Apple Hall sub forum, where Hugh invites anyone who wishes to discuss discordianism to post there.

And here's one of the last posts Hugh made on the mirror before he left.
He was referring to the fact that Discordian writings were restricted to that particular forum.

Quote from: TriskellIt's convenient that all the Discordian stuff and chaoist revelations get to be stuffed here so that people can think they can avoid it.

Well, true to the principles of the Discordian Jihaad, that's about to change.

You thought you could avoid us....?

Hah, suckers!"
So my guess is he won't mind at all, Efrim.

Well, bribes would be nice...  Still.
The truth is, I didn't leave because I'm on Rog's side.  Although I'll be frank, I sympathized with Rog's need to tweak Troll's nose; still, that wouldn't have been enough to make me leave.  I like Daven and claudia and Obsidian, too, and I'll miss them.  (Pen, tell the boys and the swanling I said so, if you would?)
I didn't even leave because Troll, imo, abused his powers as board admin to kick someone off for giving him a hard time.  Although it made me wonder how I was supposed to say whatever I thought when there was a likelihood that I would be banned for it simply because the admin was in a bad mood and didn't want to be disagreed with.  And even though the title of the board says "Where you say what you want, unless you're a douchebag."
I left because, after abusing his powers as an admin in a purely personal huff, he then mocked Rog for being banned.
And I don't want to be on a board like that.  Even for cookies and hugs.

I'm now an administrator of a board where there's someone I can't stand - a complete fucktard.  And he and I are a lot meaner to each other than Rog is on his worst days.  But being a fucktard doesn't mean he should be kicked off the board.  So it's not like I don't understand Troll's position - I just disagree with it.

I have to agree with a lot of that.
Cookies and hugs are nice, but I'm still not going back there.

That's right, I banned roger, not just because he was annoying me. But because he was annoying a lot of other people, and bragging about it. It only turned out looking bad for me because I reacted so strongly and that's what I'm ashamed of, I played right into your hands, by foaming at the mouth all the time and letting my anger make descisions for me. You want to be pissed at me because I warned you Roger? Then why not take it out on me instead of spraying it all over someone else's forum. What do you do when the cops arrest you for defacing someone else's building? Call them fascists for doing their job when you're the one breaking the law? Whether or not justice is served by your actions you're still doing the wrong thing, just because it's the right thing doesn't mean you're gonna get away with it.
If you want to keep sending the trolls over, then you can, I won't be the one moderating anymore so don't blame me if anyone else gets banned. I lay myself at the feet of this angry mob, you can have my beaten and bruised carcas to flog and dance around for this evening's festivities, because the free market demands I be labelled a traitor and brought low for the crime of being human, I never claimed to be anything else. But I'm sure that is lost on all of you here, after all, whatever I say is just an attempt to save my skin and unless I admit that the whole thing is my fault from the creation of the universe to the death of every little kitten it means nothing. I've apologised for more than enough.
Just remeber, vengeance is ashes, and until we change who we are, what we do will never change.

1.  I don't get caught.

2.  The fact that you don't see the humor in this implies that you really AREN'T much of a Discordian, Trollax.  A Bachanalian, perhaps, but not a Discordian.  What, you think we stick TOGETHER, and never give each other a poke, just to see what happens?

Quote from: SMFabalLadies and Gentlemen of Discordia,

I regret I have been so long absent from my duties at Fingerprints on the Mirror (hereafter "the Mirror"). I further regret that I will not be able to make any decisions regarding the final disposition of the Mirror for several months. I wiil be attempting to contact those running the Mirror, but for now I am abiding by their decisions. I myself suffered from the illusion of power when I was made a Mod here; I hope that upon reflection, those who are running the mirror will either relax their attitudes or make their rules clear in a clear and polite manner. Otherwise, I will be forced to activate the "my house, my rules" clause in the unwritten contract I made for the hosting of the Forums.

If I find that many of those I know and repect are no longer comfortable in the Mirror's environment, I will be forced to take full control of the Mirror, and may be forced to close it.

Rest assured that if I am forced to close the Mirror, I will forst archive all current data, so that some other poor soul can reopen it elsewhere, where I don't have to deal with it.

And hey everybody, sometimes you just need a little vacation! Just say so, and take a break 8)
