That is a link to a classic radio mix of his debut self titled album. Not to be missed.
Seriously.
This kinda sounds like drumnbass but just the boring bits, the slow parts they put into a liveset so people can catch their breaths?
I seriously wonder which parts were "not to be missed"?
Seeing your screenname on some other forum is Ed Rush, you must be familiar with "Wormhole" an album he made with Optical, now that's not to be missed, and that's saying something because it's pretty much the same beats and thing for the whole album :)
I'm hung over and its putting me to sleep at my desk. Its nice but I don't think I get this kind of music.

Yea, Wormhole is a great album.
As for Burial, sorry you don't like it. It isn't typical club fodder with huge builds and bass drops.
"Inspired by the darkside drum'n'bass of the Metalheadz label, Burial decided at the outset to avoid at all costs the rigid, mechanistic path that eventually brought drum 'n' bass to a standstill. To this end, his percussion patterns are intuitively arranged on the screen rather than rigidly quantized, creating minute hesitations and slippages in the rhythm. His snares and hi-hats are covered in fuzz and phaser, like cobwebs on forgotten instruments, and the mix is rough and ready rather than endlessly polished. Perhaps most importantly, his basslines sound like nothing else on Earth. Distorted and heavy, yet also warm and earthy, they resemble the balmy gust of air that precedes an underground train."
That's a ridiculously pretentious way to describe what most people would just call "annoying noise". :lulz:

I couldn't help but read this in a nasally sort of pinched nose way. :lulz:

They said the same thing about rock and roll.
To each their own though.

I put the conversation in context for you Freeky, I know you didn't come in here just looking for something to talk shit about so I hope this clears things up for you.
You guys should really relax. The level of cynicism, angst and negativity you guys exhibit is really lame. I don't know, maybe it passes for cute around here but I worry about you guys. Especially you One Eye.
His new track w/ Four Tet came on We Are Hunted in the car yesterday. pretty great, I love Burial's stuff by himself, but the stuff w/ Four Tet (especially the Massive Attack remixes) are so good!
