I am increasingly noticing that people who rely on other people's kindness and generosity are all too often users who feel a sense of entitlement to other people's resources. It's like they never gained a sense of perspective when it comes for taking responsibility for their own lives; like they're stuck in a perpetual childhood.
I don't mean "welfare moms", or people on food stamps or unemployment or disability; I mean people who suck at the teat of other INDIVIDUAL people's resources. Every time I've tried to help someone who was in a hard spot in their life, within a few months I've found that they start to assume they have a right to my resources and time, as if what's mine is theirs and I owe it to them, whether it's food, money, skills, a place to sleep, or a shoulder to cry on.
And then when I get to the part where I say "no more", they're angry. Like I've taken something they earned away from them. No, dude; this was supposed to be an interim solution, the step up you needed so you could bust your ass and get to a place where you could fend for yourself. Like I'm struggling to do... and it is a struggle. I don't feel ashamed to take two annual education grants and $170/month in food stamps, and I will take advantage of everything (not everyone) I can to get through school, but the point of all that assistance is to enable me to work my ass off to get to a point where I'm once again paying into the kitty for the next single mom.
So fucking sack up, grow up, and get out. I'm not your mommy. I owe you nothing.
SHOVEL MUTHA FUCKEN TARP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
169% TRUTH.
You can be weak for a million reasons. I wont blame you for that, even if it was your own doing (we all make mistakes). If you're not determined to get strong, however, then get the fuck out my face. :argh!:
For some reason i expected something to do with major cities being destroyed by babies that were 100 feet tall.

Twid and 000: waaah, mommy Nigel promised giant babies, but there aren't any! Give us giant babies, Nigel.
Nigel: *sighs*, OK, here are your giant babies.
This time next week they'll be living in your basement, breaking your plates and cooking presents for you but eating them all themselves.

I had previously read and posted in this thread, but just now I wondered if the OP was going to have baby whales or elephants.
