Title: NEW GAME: Who's the Fed?
Post by: Mesozoic Mister Nigel on July 22, 2012, 05:14:29 PM
So, odds are that someone here is a Federal agent. You know it's true.

ITT, we discuss who we think it is, and why.

GO!

either a lurker or someone that promotes radical posturings towards action, a kind of "inctiting agent", or even perhaps one of the "crazies" that ramble incoherent postures and see if it gains momentum or resonance

but why do you think PD is worth their time? (other than living in a police state that throws money down the drain in entrapment practices and provocateur tactics)

:lulz: Dude, you answered your own question.

Every little activist cell here has their own agent, sometimes two, plus they recruit civilians via their "citizen's academy" so that assholes who need to feel important can be agitating dickwads without the FBI having to pay them. If you've ever wondered at the klutzy unprofessionalism of agent provocateurs, that's usually why.

But back to the topic at hand: according to the rules of the game, it's not a lurker.
Title: Re: NEW GAME: Who's the Fed?

copy pasta trolls probably arent...

i think there was some airforce guy, but he had a weird approach, in like, "i should be on medication or in therapy", which to me, amounts to either being bored, or real issues bleeding into the provocateur role, or an easy backpedalling from badly received discourse.

so anyways, i dont think they use "sleeper" or lurker type of approach, because thats too passive, i mean, im assuming they are paid to entrap or provoke, therefore....

they would probably be active in O:MF or GASM...

maybe im a bit out of the loop, but there havent been any recent "calls to action", it all revolves at most about political posturings and their discussion, but none of "X is happening, we should do Y"

ALTHOUGHT there was a call to regroup HIMEOBS, but i cannot remember who and where said it

Oooohhh.

A few possibilities: ECH. For obvious reasons.

BabylonHoruv. As a largely non-entity at this point, perhaps that was the plan from the beginning.

Coyote. Why not use active duty military personnel? And yes, Coyote, I know that you are no longer active. :lulz:

Richter. I MEAN COME ON. HE'S TOO GODDAMN PERFECT.

Triple Zero. I don't buy his whole Belgian act.

Joh'nyx. See post ITT. That's just what they WANT us to think.

Freeky. Proximity to Roger. Of course they'd want their eyes on HIM.

Nast. He's so damn sweet he hurts my teeth, and his conspicuous absence makes me wonder.

Alty. But ONLY if he's gone rogue. They stationed him in Alaska as some weird form of punishment, and so to get back in their good graces he's taken it upon himself to dig dirt on us.

Nigel. Suggesting this idea to get us all paranoid and at each others throats, but framing it as a "game" so that if it fails to work, she can also claimthat she was not actually serious, and her cover is intact. (I'm on to you....)

Suu, Remington, Mourning Star, Luna, or anyone who's recently returned from a long hiatus. When the board is dead, no need for them to watch every post, but since activity's been picking back up....

People who it is obviously not:

Roger and Cramulus: Popular, charismatic, ability to become leaders. If either were a Fed they would have made a play for power long ago. Too obvious. (Unless THAT'S what they want us to think....)

RWHN: Unless he's really, really bad at this.

Twid: The FBI still has that "No Irish Need Apply" sign.

It's always the person who's trying to incite other people to do things. Entrapment purposes.
And there's always a beard or some other big chunk of facial hair they can remove and totally change their appearance.
Cram: was definitely one of Them. He's not gone, he's de-briefing.
Title: Re: NEW GAME: Who's the Fed?

I was thinking about the incitement thing, because nobody really does that. HOWEVER, if they are even a half-decent agent unlike the obvious and super-shitty ones who get assigned to local anarchist and activist groups, they would have caught on early that people who agitate for illegal activities get shouted down really fast here, and would be playing it more low-key.

It's got to be a regular, who has been here consistently, participating, for a long time. I almost agree that it's probably not a charismatic leader type, because no way would the fed waste a charismatic leader on an internet forum... not unless it was a really important internet forum, and I think it would be venturing into delusions of grandeur to assume ourselves that. It's not ECH, because he owns the forum. It's not Faust or Payne or or Cain or Waffle or Tripzip, because they live in Belgium.

Maybe... oh god, maybe it's Hirley0!
