Title: I'm a Terrible Person.
Post by: Cuddlefish on August 24, 2012, 03:59:00 PM
I haven't been around much, and I feel the need to apologize.

Sure, my absence could be explained by a few things. My older brother just got married, which was quite a to-do. Also, I could tell you it was because I've been preparing myself to go to a REAL university in the fall, filing papers, signing up for classes, doing the financial aid thing...

But, as true as all the above is, the real reason I haven't been around is because I've discovered...

Minecraft.

I've literally logged four and a half days of play time since my birthday (July 31st).

I'm not proud.

Enrico is terrible person.  In fact it was Enrico's momo's first words to him.  "Enrico, you is terrible person."  He hope it will be epitaph on tomb some day far far in future when Enrico die for final time.  Will be a Tuesday, momo say that also and as well.

Is pleasure to meet you.

I think I need to stop playing Skyrim forever. That's only a tenth of how much time I've wasted on it.

This is exactly why I won't pick up Skyrim, no matter how hard all my friends try to convince me. I know a time burner when I see it. Except for this Minecraft thing, it kinda snuck up on me.

They gave me an outlet for my "Isolated Hermit" fetish.

Hey, man. I didn't do it.

I'm still here, just itching to destroy a venue or two, start an indoor riot league, and still get invited back despite the resulting property damage. But the whole world pussed out.

I've spoken to just about everyone I know (which is a lot of people after fronting the best HC/punk band in the tri-state area for ten years) about starting up a new project. Every last mother fucker acts all gung-ho when we talk about it, but none of them can ever man up. Too busy, too many egos. Not enough time (which is the worst bullshit excuse. If you really wanted something done, you'd make the damn time. Plus, a lot of these lazy, narcissistic assholes seem to find the time to work on their shitty "solo-project" or whatever other masturbatory, fanciful crap they've trying to poorly market, yet not the time to build something that takes a combined effort. Fucking lazy, selfish assholes. End parenthetical).

Weak. Weak-ass motherfuckers. That's what it is. That's what it comes down to. No longer the strength to stare the whole world in the face and not even blink, let alone flinch, nor the strength to fight their way to the inevitable end, till death takes you kicking and screaming. They just avert their gaze. They keep their eyes on their shoes and pretend it's not there. You can't rebel without rebelling against death itself, and if you can't look the future the face, you can't rebel. These people will have their car and family now. They will have their two weeks of paid vacation, too, please, if they can . And that TV looks nice and big. And I think I'll just sit here and *yawn* yeah some shitty generic snackfoodz *munch* and y'know, I'm just gonna rest my eyes for a bit...

Comatose.

So, it's not my fucking fault.

PS: I'm not sure if you are familiar with the game, but Minecraft is practically the exact antithesis of friggin' Farmville.

Happens to the best of us. I've been obsessed with that game since early beta.

But recently, I've been logging more time in Real*Life than Minecraft. You heard of that one? Apparently you can be anything you want to be (given enough credit funds). You can even be a Doctor of Entomology if you put your mind to it. It's also quite a bit more challenging than Minecraft, with a really great sliding difficulty setting, though, there are these random mob spawns you've got to look out for. And it's all in Hardcore setting otherwise, so if you die the game deletes itself. Heck of a lot more people playing, too.

And Dimo, indeed, is PaF. Which adds confusion to the Minecraft addiction.

Get a car, drive north for about an hour.

Or,

Fire up Garageband, get a dropbox account.
