What sort of atmosphere do you want?

Don't matter too much.  :)

They're pretty completely ridiculous, but they do it in a chariot.

NIN's "Ghosts" album.  Two discs of instrumental (read: none of Trent's whining) music that goes from bombastic to creepy.  Plus, since there are no vocals, it won't distract what you're trying to write.

Carl Off - Carmina Burana, O Fortuna.

I mean, what else is there?

BEST IRISH/NEWFIE SONG EVER

Just got to this point now (I continue to write if the song ends, moving on only when I feel set with what I was doing at the moment).

Thanks for throwing the Irish in there. Truth be told, it's been since my last solo gig that I've listened to it, other than to sing Whiskey in the Jar to keep the skunks off of Pat's porch when I showed up a little to early for practice.
