A few thoughts about what qualifies a primate as a human.
1. Rights: If you can demand them, you have them.
2. Personhood: It resembles Mach's Principle...If you view other people as persons, then you yourself are a person.
3. Biped: You are a biped if you question your own beliefs, even when nobody is looking.
Feel free to add.
Learning not to take yourself so damn seriously? Being able to laugh things off, admit you don't know everything, realize no-one one is perfect and move forward makes things a lot easier than obsessing over some imaginary standard, digging one's heels in, etc.
Though, I suppose that could fall under the blanket of being a biped?
The first three cover just about everything else, like not treating people like crap.
Can't think of much except "be real" and "don't be a moron intentionally".
I never really understood what 'be real' means.
Lots of people say it, but they all mean something else.
Usually 'be more like me' or 'be more like i expect you to be'.
Looking at the world approximately how it is, not how you think it should be.
Altruism - knowing that it isn't always about 'you'.

I would take it as meaning be genuine.
But most often when I hear people say it, it tends to sound like you said.

"No Bullshitting"
Usually, when used in the first person, it means "I'm going to insult you now,
no offense, but..." It's a dodge to indemnify.

"I WAS ONLY SAYING..."
"DON'T TAKE THIS PERSONALLY, BUT..."
"IF A FRIEND CAN'T TELL YOU, WHO CAN?"
The ability to tell your own opinions from those of others.
Being able to admit to yourself what your own motives are. (But on its own I guess that doesn't really help sociopaths.)

The passive aggressive thing
does tend to make it mean the opposite of what it originally meant. :horrormirth:
You will, on occasion, try something that you are CERTAIN will not work, or do something in a different way than previously it has been established to do that something.
You will fuck up. And get up, dust your ass off, say "I fucked up" and go on.
Doing what you can to better yourself daily, from small facts to big events.
