(For those of you playing along in one of those weird countries... 79 degrees Fahrenheit.)
Bless this country.
What? The only way a 26 celsius temperature could be realistically described is "a bit on the cold side".
They should come here to Rio (I mean, not now, because all the rain is making it, oddly for this time of the year, a-bit-on-the-cold-side-26-degrees cold), our heat waves are 45-50 degrees. :lulz:
I don't believe it.
The human body can only take temperatures up to 20 celsius. They should have melted.
Sounds like norway. Heatwaves are from 25 degrees celsius and up. Haven't had heatwaves here for seven years, though.
A heatwave? That's when the snow starts melting, right?
Heat waves dont happen in boston. We get the triple h.
Pffft. We're not Tucson (or Rio, apparently) but heatwaves here are 103*F/41*C+.
OTOH, I wear sweaters in any temperatures below, like, 85*F, because I am a wimp.
Conversely ive been known to go out in empty degree weather with a t shirt. Sometimes barefoot if im not going to be long.
So, it's official: You're a hobbit.
Im not that short! Im more like a three-quartersling.
Heat wave here is 115F+.
At 117F, people start bitching. But not very much, because it's extra effort.
Also my phone meant forty not empty. I have no love for temperatures below the thirties though.
Although, I like the appeal of "empty degree weather".
It does have a nice ring to it.
OK, I thought Portland was weird. :lulz: I was wrong. New Zealand has us beat.
In Portland, "Summer" starts at 80, "Hot" starts at 89, and "WHAT IS HAPPENING OH GOD HELP, PLEASE KILL ME!" starts at 98.
