Title: Poems describing Richter
Post by: The Good Reverend Roger on March 19, 2013, 04:52:27 PM
They lumber through the night
With their elephantine tread;
I shudder in affright
As I cower in my bed.
They lift colossal wings
On the high gable roofs
Which tremble to the trample
Of their mastodonic hoofs.

--Justin Geoffrey: Out of the Old Land.

Come all you providence beasts
With your pale and clammy paws
Come down from federal hill
With your articulated jaws
Cast the sinner out; purge the unclean
burn it all down and build a new Machineā„¢

Once, chant out between two worlds;
Fire, walk with me.
-David Lynch

Halcyon, I saw,
Tales and ways, within mens' minds
Yet none they would live
-found written on a discarded fan in a Providence geisha club

Spear Slayer, and line breaker!
Grim walking, yet bright in talking
Cunning in war, terrible to foes
Fire maker, artificer, and ring giver!
-fragmentary Edda
