But I think that there is a reason that we live in a nation where against all odds, against increasing wealth disparity and lack of health care and drones and our nation sponsoring war and torture, we, the people, OUR people, despite everything the media screeches at us to believe about division, racism, crime, violence, and hatred, are kinder and just plain better to each other than we ever have been in our whole history.
